it's easy to dunk on SABRE. it's harder to admit they cracked one of the nastiest heat-transfer problems in propulsion: rapidly cooling air hot enough to melt the engine going at Mach 5. especially in that small and light of a form factor during ground testing.
then they wen't bankrupt.
the hardest part of deep tech was never the tech. it's surviving long enough to finish it.

tbh, one reason i didn't think twice about getting @ARCRaidersGame ,even though i'm on linux, is that their anti cheat, afaik, is enabled on linux, and works in user land(instead of kernel space), because the anticheat has a load of behavioral based stuff
meaning even if you use an hardware based approach, you're gonna get caught, i remember looking at a breakdown of the system and damn, that's a masterclass, one thing, however, is the TOS mention operating systems but doesn't specify which one it's supposed to operate on
