Replying to @IDF
I was a combat soldier in an elite IDF unit. I served in the West Bank and witnessed firsthand how settlers could do whatever they wanted with impunity. Today I’m the Executive Director of ״Breaking the Silence״ an organization that has collected thousands of testimonies from Israeli soldiers over the past two decades. And I can say with certainty that this statement by IDF spokesperson is a lie. The IDF is not trying to stop Jewish terrorism in the occupied territories. In fact, it protects Jewish terrorists and arms them with US-made M16 rifles. If the IDF genuinely wanted to stop Jewish terrorism, the Chief of Staff could simply order the 30,000 soldiers stationed in the West Bank to carry out arrests. It’s that simple.

In Gaza, you dig a trench for a water pipe and uncover a martyr’s body. You drive a tent peg into the ground and strike a martyr’s bones. You clear the rubble of a home and recover another martyr. This land is filled with the bodies of martyrs. Gaza itself has become a graveyard. This is the most horrific genocide in history. @loayharazin

The Israeli Occupation Forces denied water tanks from entering the besieged community of Ras el Ahmar in the north Jordan Valley, earlier today. The community had been cut off from the outside world for weeks due to the construction of the Crimson Thread barrier, and no water, food or medications are allowed in. Activists tried to convince the soldiers to let us deliver water to the community, but to no avail. Join @JVActivists on the ground to stand in solidarity and support the community.

This story is extremely important: A whistleblower revealed that Brazil's far-right Bolsonaro family dynasty met with Meta to discuss US plans to interfere in Brazil's election, to prevent Lula from winning. Lula's Facebook and Instagram accounts were censored a few days before the first round of the presidential election. This had a huge impact on the election, because Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, which are all owned by Meta, are the most popular apps in Brazil, and are hugely influential all across Latin America. (Jair Bolsonaro's son Flávio was declared the winner of the first round of the vote, by a narrow margin.) Meta later admitted that Lula's accounts had been restricted, but it claimed that this was supposedly due to a "technical error"... The whistleblower who disclosed this is Nadia Beller, a Bolivian journalist who was almost killed by hitmen hired by Fernando Cerimedo, a far-right Argentine political operative who oversees election interference, bots, and disinformation campaigns. Cerimedo is closely linked to the US government and has worked for pretty much every right-wing leader in Latin America. He was photographed with Donald Trump Jr. and members of the Bolsonaro family, and he received an award at Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida a few months before he was arrested for the failed assassination attempt against Beller, his pregnant ex-girlfriend. Well-known Ukrainian military aerial reconnaissance specialist Oleksandr "Serg Marco" Karpiuk writes on Facebook: "...Starlink is a civilian communications system. And SpaceX is responsible for its civilian use. Standard Starlink terminals currently have a default speed limit of 22 m/s. To enable flight at speeds above 22 m/s, Ukraine signed contracts for Starshield, which is overseen by the Pentagon. This is already a military system, with Starlink terminals that offer greater functionality, although the accounts are considerably more expensive. And it was the Pentagon that did two things in a single day: restricted intelligence sharing and changed the parameters of Starshield accounts. This was a decision by the head of the Pentagon, Pete Hegseth. Clearly on Trump's orders...." Maybe this is the key to understanding what exactly happened.

"Our initial evaluation suggested that GPT-6-Astra's score was in the late eighties followed closely by Opus 5.5. But, as we started to investigate the mistakes that the models might have made, the models, especially Astra, insisted that they were right and that it was the expert-supplied answers that were erroneous. When we went back to the experts it turned out, in multiple instances, that that the experts found some subtle errors buried deep inside their calculations. As they revised their answers, Astra's score started to inch up and it finally ended up with 98% (49/50)."

The Sameer Project aid workers distributing water were shot at by the military occupation AGAIN!! Donate to our water campaign: chuffed.org/project/help-us-… Today, October 13th, The Sameer Project team was distributing water in Al Sanfoor area in Tuffah, Gaza City, when suddenly the military occupation fired shots around the water truck. As you can see in the video, little children and our team were running away to hide from the shootings. In what world is this acceptable? Every week or so, we have an incident of bombing or shooting near The Sameer Project team. Multiple team members have shrapnels in their bodies and their only crime is providing food and water to the community. The Sameer Project will not be deterred and we will continue to provide aid in the areas near the yellow line. May God protect our wonderful team and all the Palestinian in Gaza. Support our risky work by giving now to the Food & Water Campaign: chuffed.org/project/help-us-… Other ways to donate include: paypal.me/mahertali (Paypal option, please make sure to add a message saying "WATER") account.venmo.com/u/Maher-Al… (Venmo option, please make sure to add a message saying "WATER")

Announcing tenet-hs: an independent Lean 4 kernel in Haskell. Free, open source, Apache 2.0. Lean is a functional language, and the kernel that decides whether a proof is correct is C++. This is an independent implementation of that kernel in another functional language. Expressions, universe levels and declarations are algebraic data types, and every typing, reduction and equality rule is a case over them. The docs list each rule next to the function that implements it, so you can read the code against the type theory. It reads lean4export files and re-checks every declaration from scratch. It re-derives every constructor and recursor, nested and mutual inductives included, and compares them with what the exporter wrote. It checks that Nat.add really is addition before taking the arithmetic shortcut, and it will not trust compiled code. What it has been run against: - All of Lean's Init: 57,919 declarations accepted, none rejected. - The same file with every theorem handed another theorem's proof: it rejects 41,378, and Tenet, my C# kernel, rejects the identical 41,378. - 350 randomly damaged files compared against Tenet: no disagreements. The first run of that fuzzer found a real bug in tenet-hs, 9 of 120 files, and it is fixed. - The Lean Kernel Arena's published test suite: 196 of 196. The honest parts. It is not purely functional: substitution and the caches use mutable tables, because persistent maps were 75% of the profile. I tried hash-consing, the functional favorite, and it was ten times slower on these inputs, so it went back out. It is two to five times slower than Tenet on the arena's performance tests, it is single-threaded, and I have not run Mathlib yet. The design notes have every profile and every dead end. It builds with the GHC you already have and needs no packages. I am not planting a flag. I will maintain it alongside Tenet and the rest of the family. The more independent kernels there are, the better: every one is another chance to find a bug in the reference kernel, in the others, or in the spec they are all trying to match. github.com/keithadler/tenet-… #lean4 #haskell #functionalprogramming #formalverification #opensource

Right now, tanks and military vehicles are advancing in eastern Gaza City under extremely heavy air cover, with gunfire everywhere. I’m talking to my friend at this very moment, and I can barely hear his voice because of the intense gunfire around him. It seems that more areas will be seized from us tonight, and we have no idea what awaits us in the coming hours. Talk about Gaza and what is happening here. Share what you see. don’t stop. The situation is literally spiraling out of control.

⭕️ Israeli reservist tells Der Spiegel his unit killed Palestinians who approached hidden positions, then logged them as terrorists The soldier, who spent about 250 days in Gaza, described a procedure his unit often used called “Alman Kasch,” in which troops take up concealed positions in areas that have not been evacuated and open fire on anyone who comes near. “If Palestinians, who do not know that our soldiers are there, approach, they are shelled. Usually other people come along who want to help, they are also shot at. Within a few minutes, five, six or seven people are killed. The protocol says: seven terrorists eliminated. But no, it’s just seven people who crossed an intersection. Important: We do not kill, we eliminate. That’s how we’ve always phrased it.” He said his brigade killed 160 to 170 people during more than 80 days in the Netzarim corridor, where “there were no fighting, no attacks by Hamas.” “Only one man was suspected to carry a gun. No one saw the gun, it was night, and he had something with him that could have been interpreted as a weapon. He was killed about 500 meters north of the corridor, so he was not a direct danger, and we never examined his body. But not only him, but all these dead were reported as terrorists.” The soldier is one of ten who gave testimony to Der Spiegel.

After we were forcibly displaced from northern Gaza to the south for two consecutive years, the Israeli occupation army supposedly allowed us to return to our lands and homes in northern Gaza. But it was one of the greatest deceptions in human history! When we finally managed to return, we discovered that we could access only a tiny fraction of our own lands and cities. Israel had seized control of and annexed 70% of Gaza’s territory, turning it into military zones that threaten to kill the last of us still struggling to survive. To this very moment, we remain forcibly displaced, denied access to our own homes, lands, and cities, all of which have been placed behind the so-called Yellow Lines. THIS IS NOT A RETURN. THIS IS THE CONTINUATION OF OUR DISPLACEMENT BY OTHER MEANS.

When we started responding to Russia’s operation against our data centers, and when our strikes reached Yandex’s data centers, it suddenly became a little easier to breathe on many social media platforms. A lot of people noticed it. There was less hate, less division, and fewer provocations. Because there were fewer bots. And it’s pretty clear where those bots were coming from – if they disappeared when Yandex went offline. This proves, again and again, that Europe is not the source of the problems. Europe is not the one making everything more difficult. Most importantly, we need people in America, every morning, when the day in Europe is already moving toward evening, to really see what is happening. To see the truth. From a speech at the Warsaw Security Forum. (3/3)

🚨 “Where are we supposed to go?”: Israeli forces push the “yellow line” further into Gaza Displaced Palestinians are fleeing near Shujaiya intersection, east of Gaza City, after Israeli forces pushed the “yellow line” westward to within 10 meters of Salah al-Din Street, leaving residents inside the Israeli-occupied area. Drop Site contributor Mohamed Ahmed filmed families gathering their belongings and fleeing the camp. “There's nothing left for us to sleep on. Everything has been destroyed. They've devastated us,” Mohammed Al-Fayoumi said. “Where are we supposed to go? We flee west, and there's nowhere for us there. We flee east, and it's the same thing.” Anis Herzallah described the constant threat from Israeli military operations. “At night we have howitzers, quadcopters, tanks, Apaches and F-16s — all of them attacking us from the yellow line,” he said. “If we had somewhere else to take shelter, we wouldn't have come here.” “We're dying here every minute, every second,” Herzallah said. Osama Mushtaha said families had sought refuge in the camp because they had nowhere else to go, despite its lack of basic necessities. “The yellow line used to be approximately 200 meters away from us. This morning, it was only 10 meters away,” he said. 🎥 Mohamed Ahmed
