Absolutely loving the flutter_gpu stuff and Argon coming out!
Stress-Testing Gemini 4 Argon: Building a 3D Flutter Kart Game in 15 Prompts with Zero Assets dev.to/gde/stress-testing-ge… < pretty freakin' cool. I played it too. And there's a good case here for @FlutterDev as the right choice for the game.

Gemini 4 Argon + @FlutterDev is cracked.
@antigravity built this car infotainment screen and driver cluster with Flutter Scene in a day. It's all one Flutter app. :)
The map uses real OpenStreetMap buildings in downtown Boston and a live route from OSRM. The x-ray chassis uses a custom material, and the brake discs glow as the car brakes. The car is a glTF model with working doors, hood, hatch, headlights, and paint options. The parking screen is a mockup of a 360 surround camera view.
No embedded engine, no native map SDK, no platform views, just vanilla Flutter with Impeller and built-in SDK features: Flutter GPU. 3D rendered by Flutter Scene, a complete 3D game engine for Flutter.
The app is 14,000 lines of Dart, with a center screen, a driver cluster, and a panoramic view of both.
No subscriptions, no paid seats, no royalties. Free and open source, forever. Flutter can just do it all.

Huge congratulations to the Google AI Edge team on launching Google AI Edge Foresight 🎉
Built with Flutter, Foresight demonstrates the power of EmbeddingGemma 2 and Gemma 4!

Meet Google AI Edge Foresight, our newest Labs app (developers.google.com/edge/f…), offering an ambient note-taking meeting companion and personal knowledge assistant for Mac. Your audio, transcripts and sensitive files in your personal knowledge base never leave your device courtesy of local processing with EmbeddingGemma2 & Gemma4 suite of models.
- Live Notes Enhancement: Jot down quick shorthand notes during a meeting and Foresight enriches it in real time using the live meeting conversation.
- Ambient Audio Query Detection: Detects questions spoken aloud mid-meeting and surfaces answers live.
- Blazing-Fast Grounded Responses: Point it at your local project folders, docs, transcripts or Drive account for instant cross-modal retrieval and Q&A.

"Here's the part nobody's saying out loud: the argument that killed React Native at Shopify doesn't apply to Flutter at all. Different bargain, different premise, different failure mode."

A little cinematic I made with Flutter Scene, based on @aollivier82's Amano Nature Aquarium. :)
Rendered in real time and recorded live on my MacBook. The control panel on the cabinet is a Flutter widget running inside the 3D scene, and turning its dial takes the room from afternoon to night.
I had an agent port the original web demo, then built the rest on top. The camera moves, the controller, the flake food, the dust, the day to night lighting, and a surface that mirrors the tank from under water the way total internal reflection does.
141,000 instances in 42 draw calls. Caustics from 217,818 rays refracted through the waves.
Porting it pushed lighting hooks for custom materials, planar mirrors, and debug view wipes into the engine, all landing in Flutter Scene 0.24.
Using dart:ffi, you get access to so many great C libraries. I've used ffmpeg, whisper, and other media playback libraries for text-aligned epub reader.

It doesn't get as much press as Fast or Beautiful, but Open is one of the original four pillars of Flutter. 🤝
I'm stoked to see the team's new design doc process. It's more inclusive and more predictable. See the results beginning to land in the new repo: github.com/flutter/rfc!

Having fun with some weird macOS APIs and Flutter GPU.
I hope apple never implements this 👀
I'm still working on some github workflows to help with formatting, lfs verification and more.
I'll investigate backfilling some design docs with OKF headers in the future.

BREAKING NEWS: Flutter Q2 2026 user survey results are in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- 93% CSAT (customer satisfaction) holds strong as one of the highest developer rated products I’ve ever seen
- MORE interesting: 58% of you are now very satisfied (up a statistically significant 6 points from 52% in Q4 2025)
- in the name of transparency, I went through a bunch of the gaps and feedback and where we need to focus, a lot of it is expected growing pains, some of it is food for thought

Build something real with Flutter 3.47.
Scene is powered by Flutter's own graphics stack. Impeller and Flutter GPU. No forks, no platform views, no secondary rendering context.
macOS, Linux, Windows, iOS, Android, Web, and custom embedders.

This is rendered by Flutter 3.47 Stable using Flutter GPU via the flutter_scene package.
macOS, Linux, Windows, iOS, Android, Web, and custom embedders. Today. :)
No forks, no platform views, no external renderers, no secondary graphics context. It's vanilla Flutter.
Each pass is a custom material over geometry derived from the model at load time. No pre-baked effect meshes. Just simple Dart APIs AOT compiled to arm64 instructions.
