This was 12 years ago when our youngest son was 9 years old. He walked by your dad slowly and your dad struck up a conversation with him. Now my son is 21 and a senior at Oregon State. I emailed your dad this picture with a few stories about our interactions with him. Great Man!

What a heckuva ride it’s been Beaver Nation. We’re grateful for the journey and look forward to whatever comes next!
& here’s to the recognition you deserve Pops🧡

Wayne Tinkle took out a half-page ad in the Sunday Oregonian, thanking Oregon State fans for the experience and wishing incoming MBB coach Justin Joyner good luck. Class to the end.
So proud of my Dad and all he did during his time at OSU, but more so for the man he is and all the good he stands for. A leader & winner that didn’t need praise or acknowledgment, rather the space to give thanks and respect to those that always had his back.
OSU’s social media snub of Wayne Tinkle was no oversight.
The Beavers’ leadership could learn a lot about grace and class from the coach they just fired.

Take your shots at Wayne Tinkle if you wish but this is what a leader of men does. @BeaverMBB

An emotional Josiah Lake after OSU's loss to Gonzaga, which ended Wayne Tinkle's tenure in Corvallis.
Tinkle gave Josiah a DI walk-on spot when others wouldn't. Three seasons later and he was the Beavs starting point guard this year.
No one better. Forever my favorite coach. Keep it rollin’ #FTA
After Oregon State beat USF in the WCC quarters tonight, Wayne Tinkle turned to multiple areas of the arena and celebrated.
Here's the reason why:
"The outpouring of support from the last ten days have been unbelievable... It was just a thank you to them for all the great things that they said and to let them know we're not done... There were a lot of emotions when I was by myself, but we had to make sure we made it about the team this week. It's all we've ever done... So why would I make it about me the individual all the sudden? That would be so hypocritical. We've got enough of that in our society."

Wayne Tinkle ending his press conference:
“I need to go get a cold beer.”
Asked his beer of choice?
“Cold.”

Thank you Coach for bringing me to Oregon State and for what you’ve done for us. I learned so much from you and grew a lot because of you. I will always be grateful.
Much love always ❤️
