Super proud to share the first first-author publication by my MD student, Mitch Andrews, in collaboration with A/Prof Bobby Cheema.
Our #review identifies key #barriers and #facilitators to implementing #physicalactivity programs for residents in aged care facilities.
Snapshot of our findings:
- Barriers: understaffing, resident fatigue, lack of motivation, distrust of staff
- Facilitators: structured and tailored programs, group exercises for social interaction, frequent sessions
We provide suggestions on how these can be incorporated into future programs.
