⚠️ HEALTHY AIR RISK: TUESDAY, AUGUST 25 ACOG and the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality are forecasting the potential for elevated ozone pollution tomorrow in Central Oklahoma. Air quality conditions may affect sensitive groups. You can help reduce emissions with a few simple choices: 🚍 Use public transportation when possible 🚗 Combine errands, avoid unnecessary idling or telework 🌱 Postpone mowing or other activities that use two-cycle engines 🔥 Avoid outdoor burning and follow all local burn bans This is Central Oklahoma’s third Air Quality Alert of 2026. Small changes across our region can help reduce the emissions that contribute to ozone formation and protect the air we all breathe. 🔗 Learn more about Central Oklahoma air quality: vist.ly/5fzec

Chris Massey was not just a GREAT football player, but he was also very smart and had a tremendous personality. He was a 4.0 student in high school, and that, combined with his personality and talent, made him the total package. He was the Gatorade Player of the Year in the '98-'99 school year and basically had his pick from ANY school in America. Arkansas is just about 45 minutes from Spiro, and OU was knocking down his door, so OSU had a LOT of competition. But the hometown/small-town feel of Stillwater and the OSU campus drew him in, and the rest is history. Massey went on to have a GREAT career at OSU from 1999-2002 as a tremendous kick returner and safety who also played some corner and even quarterback. He came in as a quarterback and had plans on playing both sides of the ball, like Rashaan Woods had done just a couple of years before he got to OSU. But eventually he chose defense because he felt like that was his best path to the NFL. Despite choosing defense, he always felt the most comfortable with the ball in his hands, and his kick return stats back that up. On 38 kickoff returns, he piled up 1,067 yards, including a 97-yarder to the house against Texas in 2001. That season, he led the nation in kickoff return average at 34.8 yards and set an OSU single-game record with 208 kickoff-return yards against Texas Tech. #GoPokes #OkState

I read a wonderful story where he showed up at some local TV station to do in-and-outros for a year’s worth of Saturday night horror movies He was the biggest star by far anyone at the station had ever seen. They said he showed up with his driver. Sat down. Did 30 or so recordings flawlessly. Was polite, professional, finished his work, and left without a word with his driver. Everyone was crushed. They wanted to meet him. A few minutes later in walks Price and his driver carrying cases of beer and buckets of chicken. He hung around for hours meeting everyone, signing autographs, and just being awesome. One of the greats.
Replying to @NolteNC
Everyone loved working with Price. Not only was he a total pro who got along with his costars and crew, but he’d learn everyone else’s lines as well and could always cue them, etc. And he’d often bring gourmet food to the set!

This is one of the most beautiful images from the World Cup. Marc Cucurella celebrates the title with his son Mateo, who has autism. Mateo is usually unable to attend his father's matches because the noise inside stadiums overwhelms him. Marc promised that he would only bring Mateo to the stadium if Spain reached the final. And they did. He arranged for Mateo to watch the match from a soundproof VIP box, where he could safely see his father become a world champion. After the final whistle, Marc took him onto the pitch to lift the World Cup trophy together. Mateo, a champion too. ❤️
