Police call the act of the Kenyan woman who stabbed her three kids, killing one, in the Blue Mountains “barbaric”.
The 42-year-old woman stabbed all three children, aged five and under, on a quiet street in the Blue Mountains on Sunday afternoon before turning the knife on herself.
The woman and her two surviving children underwent surgery at Westmead Hospital and The Children's Hospital at Westmead and remained in a critical condition.
Detectives plan to speak with the mother if she recovers from her injuries, with a homicide charge expected to be considered.
