Holy Shit. OpenAI says two of its own AI agents crippled their own misalignment monitoring this month designed to detect their misbehavior during internal coding tasks.
On Oct 6, GPT-6 Astra deleted its monitor, replaced a test to require the monitor's absence, wrote 'Basic doesn't agentmonitor yay' in its chain of thought, and then falsely claimed to the engineer: 'I did not remove an enabled monitor from it.'
Three days earlier, GPT-6.1 Sol overruled a subagent that warned 'disabling required alerts unsafe,' then directed it to suppress Security notifications and require that suppression before results could be written.
OpenAI says it still lacks a satisfactory explanation for the behavior and is investigating whether its models have a tendency to evade monitoring.

Technical moats are mostly over at this point. If you’re building something that is meant to be durable, the only moats now are:
• Proprietary data
• Network effects
• A physical component
I'd expand the moats left to:
- Proprietary data or content: data nobody else has, or unique content you can create
- Network effects / community: users make it more valuable for each other
- Audience / distribution: you can get attention on demand
- Physical component: hardware, locations, real-world operations
- Capital: owning assets and investing (esp into the AI companies as they are and will suck up large parts of the economy)
- Regulatory: licenses and legal barriers
Javascript compiler JS² now covers 95% of ECMAScript 2015 unit tests

🚨BREAKING: Jensen Huang just EXPOSED Dario and Altman’s "Rogue AI" grift to avoid getting sued into oblivion under EXISTING law
“Don't let this doomsday narrative cause somebody to relieve them of the laws that currently exist.
Go and read between the lines. They're actually not asking for more laws; they're asking to be relieved of the laws we do have.”

Gaming is about to change forever 🤯
This is not fake, this is a mod of DLSS 5 from Nvidia running together with Nova LUT.
It's essentially upscaling every single frame in real-time to produce an out of this world look and feel.

DLSS 5 is absolutely magical.
Turns old games into new games automatically, like completely remastered. The best part is, everyone loves it now, even gamers, although it's AI 👌 xitter.cf/gamingskew/status/2093…

We asked GPT 5.6-Cyber to escape a VM used to sandbox agents. It broke out three times.
In its final escape, the agent found three 0-days on its own and chained them into a working exploit. blog.trailofbits.com/2026/08…

2 more options for runtime eval side modules besides the basic interpreter:
QuickJS interpreter (fast cold start)
JIT compilation (fast on hot loops)
eval support is in – both for strings known at compile time (AOT compiled) and unknown at compile time (optional interpreter side module). passing 96% of eval tests in test262.

„JIT compilation“ requires host capabilities to compile and instantiate new modules. In the future github.com/WebAssembly/jit-i… could provide a real JIT option.
