I would like to sincerely apologize for all the pending open source projects I have that I can't update at the moment. It really is super hard to balance work, open-source, and mental health. I am hitting my limit lately and it's really hard AF. I am still very thankful to all of the people who're supporting me from behind the scene. My community, my friends & family, colleagues, twitter connections who have reached to me in the past regarding this, co-developers, supporters of my OSS projects, and many more who truly care. Thank you guys. I am bouncing back, and I am doing it as soon as possible. 💪

An unforgivable crime. 😱

ALT There is a three-part comic in which two criminals are sitting on a jail cell bench. The big baldy tells the short, spiky-haired fellow: I killed a man, you? Shorty replies: I installed Apt on Arch Linusx. In the last part, the baldy can be seen flustered, sweating, and scared, saying: Dude, Wtf?!

Project IDX is now Firebase Studio ❤️🔥
Build full-stack agentive apps in a cloud based workspace, all in the browser.
What's changed?
> Kickstart your app with our prototyping agent to generate a Next.js app. But, code is still first. Toggle between the agent and VM backed cloud workspace.
What isn't changing?
> Everything you used in Project IDX before. Full-stack templates, Android Emulators, Open in IDX links, workspace collaboration, full-stack deployments, it's all still there, with more.
This isn't a pivot, this isn't an experiment, this a project finding its home. Project IDX is a natural fit for Firebase, a product that has always been focused on building cross-platform apps with cloud based services.
And on a personal note, I'm thrilled. I switched from DevRel to engineering because I was sold on Studio. Plus, I'm back in Firebase.
This is just a preview of what's coming.
