Happy Truck Day!

Liam Ramos - a precious child detained by ICE.
This is cruel and wicked.
Let everyone of us who loves Christ,
and everyone who has a conscience , stand against the terror perpetrated by ICE.
Jesus is always with the children, the vulnerable and marginalized. Jesus said whatever we do them we do to Him. God takes this personally- and so should we. Whatever hurts one of us hurts all of us.
Abolish ICE.
Stand with our immigrant neighbors.
Maybe the best theology I've seen from a professional athlete...
CJ Stroud on if God is blessing the Texans because of their testimony:
“I don’t want it to ever be confused, I don’t think God is like ‘the Texans are gunna win.’, but I think regardless, win or loss he gets the glory, and that’s up to us, that’s just worship. Him giving us our talents, abilities, & these jobs, he’s more than worthy of all the worship is really why we do what we do. It’s not because we want favor from the lord. In my opinion, you don’t just get favor from the lord just because you give him glory, he deserves it. It’s not because we follow Jesus that we win every game.”
His peripherals were really good last year - 3.90 FIP and an even better 3.07 xFIP with a 10-2 K/BB rate over 180 IP. As a 4th or 5th starter? I love it.

109 serve sites. 1,058 pairs of gloves. 2,173 students and employees. 10,865 hours served. We got a little dirty and sweaty, but it was all worth it. What an amazing day serving our neighbors!

*** Statement on the Murder of Charlie Kirk ***
By Shane Claiborne
My heart goes out to Charlie Kirk’s family and all who loved him… especially his wife, Erika, and their two precious children. We must never rejoice in death. My faith teaches me not just to refuse to kill, but also to refuse to hate. And so this is a somber moment. Charlie Kirk was someone’s child, someone’s husband, someone’s dad… and he is a child of God, made in the image of God.

Sweep the @Yankees and then instantly trade our best hitter? I can see both sides of this trade and I don’t like either.

The Church is most healthy when women and men are equally partnering together to proclaim and demonstrate the gospel.
My son ended his High School baseball career by hitting a game tying 3-run home run against #2 West Linn. They weren’t able to pull out the win, but it was a great season for him and for his team.
