Feel like Opus 5.5 got dumber? Don't worry, Nerf Bench shows the opposite. It actually got 5.8% smarter since launch!
Claude Opus 5.5 just took a big drop on NerfBench. Yesterday it was scoring above launch. Today it's at 94.2%. GPT 6 Astra: 98.0% Sonnet 5.5: 100.9% GPT 6.1 Sol: 106.7% 94.2% is still inside normal variance, so we can't call it a nerf yet. But we're watching Opus 5.5 very closely.

Xcode 27 removed Simulator.app, and we know that pressing 𝚒 in Expo CLI stopped working for a lot of you. It works again now. We also put your simulators in a browser tab. Check out the full blog about 𝚎𝚡𝚙𝚘-𝚍𝚎𝚟𝚒𝚌𝚎-𝚑𝚞𝚋 from @krystofwoldrich: expo.dev/blog/xcode-27-devic…

We had a security breach last night related to a large scale distillation attack that impacted 1.4% of OpenCode Console users We have notified them all this morning via email. If you did not get an email you were not impacted, it was a subset of users who had external providers linked The incident is ongoing so we cannot share more details at this point but we are working with Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google to remediate

Claude Code ahora va 3 veces más rápido porque se han acordado de una tecnología de los años 90: gzip.
We keep improving performance across Claude, and you may have noticed it starts responding sooner! Claude Code now gzips the conversation it sends on every turn, so it reaches the model faster. Cloud sessions also start up as soon as you start typing.

This got me curious, so I built my own little magnet eyes app :) Super fun experiment. Here’s the code if you want to try it: github.com/betomoedano/magne…
Metal effect is now available for SwiftUI. As expected, it reacts and bends when a magnet is nearby. Ready to use on libraries.dev

Agents on Rails is back with Stage 3! We put the best-performing models to the test with 7 new multi-step tasks, each spanning 3–8 tickets. From building Rails apps from scratch to navigating existing (and at times messy) legacy codebases, we wanted to see how well agents handle the kind of work developers actually face: going back and building on their own work. Some highlights: - Best overall: @OpenAI GPT-6.1 Sol offers a strong balance of accuracy, speed, and cost (60.8% success, $0.80 & 23m 35s per run) - Most accurate: @AnthropicAI Opus 5.5 at max effort (65.3%, but it is also the most expensive and amongst the slowest) - Fastest: @OpenAI GPT-6 Astra at medium effort (16m 36s, 54% success). Astra's max effort is also fast (22m 36s, 62.3% success). - Cheapest: @OpenAI GPT-6 Luna ($0.19/run, 43.5% success) We also combined all tasks from all stages into one central leaderboard. Read the full Stage 3 report from @evilmartians here: rubyonrails.org/2026/10/13/a…
