I don’t want to answer engagement-driven posts. We both know what you’re doing. I just can’t stand a conversation that’s question -> response -> like/emoji reply. That’s a conversation with a 2 year old. Do you like coffee? -> no, I hate it -> 🚫☕️ Dumb.

I hate the X engagement problem. Like who has the desire to blast their inane thoughts into the void hourly.

It shouldn’t take asking a question to boost engagement. Most real conversations don’t start that way. I reminds me of a guy on Reddit and how they would ask for help and get no response. It was only after he posted wrong answers on a different account he got help.

Moral of the story: better to be purposefully wrong. People like proving you wrong more than they like helping.

😂 No way around it—you have to market your books for them to get noticed. I find sharing reviews one of the fun ways to do this. Authors, add your favorite reviews of your books in the comments. I’ll RT them and maybe you will find some new readers! 📖
