I wrote up more about building my Markdown Memory Mode VSCode extension on my refreshed blog: stephenduncanjr.com/posts/ma…
In Visual Studio Code, I wanted to be able to easily go from using the text editor for Markdown files to using preview, not just on a file by file basis, but when opening a new Markdown file. Basically, I wanted it to remember my last setting and use that for opening new files.
So (with Codex), I made an extension to do that and published it. Try it out if it sounds useful to you too: marketplace.visualstudio.com…

Every single ODYSSEY tweet only makes me think of this, the one good b'sky post I've seen migrated to this platform
Not that I’m always a fan of how Angel City do things, but @ThornsFC this is a good thing to emulate.
📰 Angel City FC announces a series of strategic hires across departments ahead of the 2026 season, underscoring the club’s continued commitment to excellence and investment in success on the pitch.

The President of the United States is an undeniably despicable person, and if that doesn’t bother you, then what claim do you hold to morality or patriotism?

Chronicling the @ThornsFC season through the eyes of @morganvweaver in her year away from play, here’s the last 2025 chapter from the star forward who continues recovery from major knee surgery. Onward to ‘26 in the Rose City @fox12oregon kptv.com/2025/11/25/part-6-p…
But the cop caught telling a lie under oath about the sandwich exploding will face no consequences. And then folks wonder why trust with the police is broken.
What an incredible goal by @olivia_moultrie !!! Thorns royalty already, LFG #BAONPDX
Y’all sure don’t mind throwing away tax payer dollars as long as it’s for the nonsense Trump and his cronies ask for. #FakeConservatives
Stephen Miller’s apparent belief that the President should be able to solely determine the facts and act without limits is the most un-American thing I can think of. I’m honestly shocked that Republicans aren’t leading the charge to get him out of the government and their party.
Legal insurrection. The President is the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, not an Oregon judge. Portland and Oregon law enforcement, at the direction of local leaders, have refused to aid ICE officers facing relentless terrorist assault and threats to life. (There are more local law enforcement officers in Oregon than there are guns and badges in the FBI nationwide). This is an organized terrorist attack on the federal government and its officers, and the deployment of troops is an absolute necessity to defend our personnel, our laws, our government, public order and the Republic itself.
When they lie straight to your face, they don’t respect you and they will lie to do whatever they want to anybody they want.
Brendan Carr is an un-American enemy of free speech. It is undeniably clear that it’s nonsense for him, as a government official to threaten FCC consequences, then claim these were private, independent decisions. The lack of any honor or values from these people is deplorable.
And there it is.
On Kimmel, the Democrats are engaged in nothing more than Projection and Distortion.
Projection because Democrats are the ones that spent years illegally weaponizing government to silence dissent. And it is Democrats that will do it all again—as they are openly telling you today.
Distortion because Democrats want to blame anything other than Disney and their local TV stations for Kimmel’s suspension. Those businesses decided that, in their view, a suspension made sense. The reporting on this is clear.
Notably, this is the first time recently that any local TV stations have pushed back on a national programmer like Disney. And that is a good thing because we want want empowered local TV stations. After all, local TV stations—not the national programmers—have public interest obligations, and they should be making decisions that in their view meets the needs of their local communities.
I walked through all of this in my Concordia remarks yesterday, which are posted below.

In the last few years we've seen:
- The plot to kidnap Gretchen Whitmer
- The Storming of the Capitol and pipe bombs left at the RNC and DNC
- The break-in to kidnap Nancy Pelosi and the brutal on Paul Pelosi
- Multiple assassination attempts against Trump
- The assassination of Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband and the shooting of on State Senator John Hoffman and his wife
- Luigi Mangione's assassination of Brian Thompson
- The assassination of Charlie Kirk
Political violence is contagious. It is spreading. It is not confined to one side or belief system. It should terrify us all.
The foundation of a free society is the ability to participate in it without fear of violence. Political violence is always an attack against us all. You have to be so blind not to see that.
