I had the honor of attending The Kids Fashion Runway – Purpose in Motion Edition.
Beyond the fashion and the smiles, it was such a beautiful reminder that every child deserves to feel seen, celebrated, included, and loved for exactly who they are.
To the amazing children who owned that runway with so much confidence, you inspired us all.
I was also deeply humbled to be recognized as an Inclusion Champion and had a moment to walk the runway.
Today, I had the honour of giving the key note address at the launch of Uganda’s 1st National Rehabilitation & Assistive Technology Strategic Plan 2025–2030 by the Ministry of Health. @MinofHealthUG
This strategy is a major step toward ensuring equitable access to quality rehabilitation and assistive technology services for all Ugandans, especially persons with disabilities and other marginalized groups.
At CBM, we believe rehabilitation and assistive technology are not privileges, they are essential to dignity, inclusion, independence, and participation.
Together, let us move from policy to action and ensure no one is left behind.

Country Director - CBM Christian Blind Mission representative Jackie Kwesiga (@jquesiga) reaffirmed that every person deserves to live with dignity, realise their potential, and fully participate in society.
“Across the world, persons with disabilities are breaking barriers and redefining leadership, talent, and innovation. The conversation is shifting from limitations to possibilities.”
She encouraged young people to keep challenging stereotypes, pursuing their dreams, and inspiring change in their communities, reminding them that nothing is beyond their potential.

It was truly inspiring to listen to @nickvujicic as he engaged with young leaders, creatives, advocates, and partners advancing disability inclusion.
At CBM Uganda, we believe inclusion is about dignity, opportunity, and ensuring every young person can participate fully and reach their potential. Grateful to @reachahand and all partners for creating such a powerful platform for conversation, advocacy, visibility, and hope.
Bringing impact where it matters most.
Through the ECO-FOOD Uganda project, we are working towards building resilient, food-secure communities while ensuring that women, youth, and persons with disabilities are not left behind, but are at the center of change.
Through partnerships and community engagement, we continue to support inclusive initiatives that empower lives, strengthen livelihoods, and ensure no one is left behind.
As we come to the close of the year, we pause with gratitude for life, for partnership, and for the work we continue to do together.
I am thankful for the relationships that make our mission possible and for the trust we share with our partners and communities. May the season bring rest, renewal, and hope as we prepare for the year ahead.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a peaceful, purpose-filled New Year.

Honoured to represent CBM Uganda at the Global M&E Expo’s first anniversary, and deeply humbled that both CBM and I were recognized for our contribution to strengthening evidence, inclusion, and accountability.
This celebration belongs to the incredible practitioners, partners, and communities who continue to turn data into action and ensure that no one is left behind.
Congratulations to the @evaluationbench for building a powerful movement of evaluators who make evidence practical and usable.
Today, on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we reflect on Uganda’s theme: Financial Inclusion as a Key to Economic Empowerment.
I am proud that CBM Uganda continues to stand with government, OPDs, and partners to build systems that make inclusion real, in health, education, skills, and financial access.
Grateful to the @Mglsd_UG for recognising CBM’s contribution to disability inclusion in Uganda. This honor belongs to our partners, our dedicated teams, and above all, to persons with disabilities who lead and inspire this movement every day.
We were also honored to be featured in today’s @newvisionwire , highlighting our work and collective impact across the country.
Yesterday brought together everything that makes inclusion meaningful… achievement, partnership, resilience, and joy.
Congratulations to the graduates at @TunawezaO , and thank you for recognising CBM’s contribution.
The impact was felt.
Today, I had the honor of joining @MinofHealthUG and development partners in Masindi district to commemorate the World Sight Day 2025 under the theme “Love Your Eyes”
This day is always a powerful reminder that sight is more than vision, it’s dignity, independence, and opportunity.
At CBM Uganda, we are deeply committed to ensuring that no one is left behind because of avoidable blindness or visual impairment. Through collaboration with the Government Line Ministries, INGOs, local partners, hospitals, and community based organizations, we continue working to make quality eye health accessible to everyone, especially those in hard-to-reach communities.

Here's to another year of service, fellowship and adventure.🎉🎁🥂
This weekend, CBM Uganda partnered with @RACUpperKololo to visit the Hydrocephalus & Spina Bifida Home in Katabi.
Families of children living with hydrocephalus and spina bifida too often face stigma and exclusion. This home offers a safe, supportive community where dignity and hope are restored.
In line with CBM’s mission to advance disability inclusion, we combined psychosocial support with practical, income-generating skills bead-making and reusable sanitary towel production so mothers can build sustainable livelihoods while caring for their children.
We commend @RACUpperKololo for exemplary partnership and service to humanity.

At the 3D Impact Exhibition and Knowledge Sharing Event hosted by CoRSU Rehabilitation Hospital, CBM reaffirmed its commitment to advancing inclusive rehabilitation services in Uganda through innovation!
Through the use of 3D technology in producing assistive devices, over 300 patients have already benefited from high-quality, customized orthotic & prosthetic devices, transforming lives with dignity, innovation, and inclusion.
At CBM, we strongly believe in investing in innovation that transforms lives. By supporting CoRSU and other partners in adopting 3D printing technologies, we are helping to create affordable, timely, and customized assistive devices, not just as medical tools, but as gateways to opportunity, education, and participation in society.
