Great piece by the legendary Jack Ohman. His recap of the scripted town hall, pre-selected questions, and chickening out of answering questions from reporters eerily reminds me of the Swalwell town halls, particularly April 7 in Sac. sfchronicle.com/opinion/open…

What happens if/when Becerra is indicted in September (and Hilton wins)? That’s the worst possible outcome for all. Same thing almost happened with Swalwell… crazy the rush to annoint the only candidate with such massive risk.

What the f is wrong with people to allow this to happen. Again.

Same politician. Same illegal payments. But five months later @XavierBecerra tells a different story to @Elex_Michaelson than he told to @NikkiLaurenzo

I’m going to wager that this won’t be the only endorsement they pull this cycle.
I feel bad that Punxsutawney @paulmitche11 won’t get 6 more weeks of convincing the townsfolk there “could be” two Republicans at the top

Then why are you complaining as if you want it to stop?

Well, he is a former registered Republican. Born and raised in Iowa (unlike the IE ad that claims he grew up in Cali)
New data drop: Tiny 1.1% chance that Republicans make the Top Two; a much higher 16.5% chance that Dems make the Top Two; a whopping 82.5% chance of a D vs R Top Two. Take a look & stop the hand-wringing and bed-wetting. @CA_Dem @paulmitche11 theballotbook.com/blog/will-…

No, Hilton is trending in one direction and Bianco is trending in the other direction. It is already happening. And if they beat each other up they could both end up with 15 and two Dems could easily advance.

Dude. They are smart & spend a lot on research, of course they can & will do it. Just like in 2018 when they lifted Cox. Besides, Hilton already moving up on his own. Lastly, it is absolutely in the GOP’s best interest to do the same, otherwise could easily be 2 Dems in Nov.
Replying to @melmason @jonesblakej
So in a hypothetical Swalwell and Hilton advance to the Nov ballot, Trump’s DOJ deems Swalwell as a DC resident (which of course he is), thus ineligible— Republican Hilton wins because Swalwell is ineligible (despite the fact that he’s on the Gen election ballot)

If you are going to try to sell a poll that claims Swalwell is ahead among Latinos (who you have been promoting, after you worked for Cloobeck) then you may as well try to sell the Brooklyn Bridge while you are at it.
