Partisanship has sold half this country on the idea that the other half is the enemy. When it isn't. The enemy is the machinery that rules both halves no matter who's holding the gavel. The wars don't stop. The slow bleed of who we are as a country gets worse. The size and reach of the government keeps growing, the spending keeps getting dumber, and they keep taking more of our hard-earned money, and wasting it, and enriching themselves and their cronies. New faces. New letter next to the name. But same machine. A win for your team isn't change. Quit mistaking one for the other, and demand real, actual changes to the system and the actors, or we’ll be right back in the same spot 2 years from now

After this election I have decided I’m making some changes in my life. I am a functioning alcoholic. I consume a six pack of beer and a pint of Jack Daniel’s a day. I normally doom scroll on X in the evenings while drinking. I’m going to stop drinking. Finish my house projects and put it on the market and move out of the city of Houston. I figure it will take a year. I’m taking a step back from politics. I will continue to support Republicans by voting in elections. If anyone has the desire to pray for me I would appreciate it.
