A little poem I've written about PEM (Post Exertional Malaise): I did some stuff the other day, but didn't do a lot. Now all I do is lay around and feel like total grot. #mecfs #pwme #MEawarenessHour #MillionsMissing #canyouseeMEnow

From the Telegram of Abu Ali: “French journalist Paul Amar reports that on one of the streets in Marseille, all the businesses that belonged to Jews were set on fire yesterday, while the businesses that belonged to Muslims were not harmed. According to him, the rioters arrived with a list of addresses of targets for arson.” It’s quite clear who is behind these riots and what their true motives are.

Zionism is Racism proposer Lubna Speitan was confronted by media on her way to a press conference. She’s flanked by Ahmed Alnaouq whose brother was a Hamas terrorist and Amro Tabari who screeched “Zionist scum” at Jews in Brighton. Nice company she keeps.

Our thanks go out to @BethDobbin for speaking about her illness to raise awareness, even at the cost of her own health and for describing the impact of ME so vividly. Beth is bed bound for 22 hours a day.

I've had my criticisms of the government, but this step by Labour - making it clear that what the Greens have done has crossed a red line, and establishing a cordon sanitaire - is EXACTLY the right thing to do. And I'd like to know why the Lib Dems haven't done the same.

I know this one. 🙋‍♂️ Because otherwise we import more energy with a higher total carbon footprint.

I’ve been asked a few times about where the ‘Zionism is racism’ stuff goes next. The answer is in the unions. They don’t even have to be subject to a hard left/ Islamist takeover. The Palestine-obsessed hard left already runs them. This is the real danger in our society. My pinned post traces how this Jew-hating ideology is endemic in the teacher’s union, the NEU. That makes its way into our schools, radicalising the next generation against Israel and Jews. Any government which wants to tackle the issue of antisemitism in this country has to look at how a small band of anti-Israel obsessives are able to amass so much power.
When our members stand with Palestine, they’re standing with their colleagues, for freedom, dignity, and self-determination. The values we fight for internationally. So let's keep organising, marching – together, until Palestine is free. From my speech on Saturday.

Today I went to a select committee hearing on AI. A few interesting things came out of it, but what really stuck with me was the behaviour of the MPs They weren’t paying attention At one point I counted 6 of the 13 MPs on the committee looking at their phones. And not in that way you do when you’re quickly checking something - two stared at their phones for over half an hour. Several others left before the end Many people think AI is the most important thing in the world. The MPs were warned there was a 50/50 chance it might destroy humanity! You’d think that’d be enough to make you take your chance to listen to experts and key players on the topic - apparently not

NEW: How the push to ban data centre construction in Britain is based on sloppy research. One paper widely cited in the media and by the Green Party contains multiple howlers: - It claims that a single data centre will be responsible for 8% of the East of England's water shortfall. This is wrong by a factor of almost 100. - It suggests data centres are to blame for England's predicted 5bn litre daily water shortfall. Yet under the most water-hungry assumptions, new data centres would account for less than 3% of it. Under more realistic assumptions, it's just 0.5%. - It compares global AI water withdrawals with British household water consumption. But these are completely different things. Most withdrawn water is returned to its source. The comparison exaggerates AI's water footprint by around ten times. - It repeatedly uses worst-case estimates of data centre water consumption, ignoring that many data centres use little or no water for cooling. One of its sources is literally titled Overestimating AI's water footprint. The real cause of Britain's water shortages isn't data centres. It's our failure to build reservoirs. samdumitriu.com/p/will-data-…
