I've never felt the fear of god more than watching Microsoft explain why their AI data centres won't take all of the electricity, water, and jobs from their local communities.
I never thought Microsoft would have to explain something like that, but here we are.
Here's a sign of the times. When registering for the Microsoft Build conference, this drop down box used to give options like Developer, Engineering Manager, Exec. Now it's AI, AI, AI.
The best article about AI-generated writing I've ever read.

I'm surprised we haven't had many specialised AI Gen Models yet, like a model specifically for typescript projects.

The creator of Vim, Bram Moolenaar, allegedly wrote the entire initial version of Vim using only a magnetized needle and a steady hand to directly manipulate bits on a hard drive. Thus, Vim is pure, made without using any other text editor.
Super impressed with Ladybird. Absolutely mammoth task to build a web browser. Great to see more sponsors on board. 👏👏👏

This actually makes sense.

ALT The image is a humorous comic strip with the following steps on "How to become a gardener": 1. **Step 1**: "Learn PHP and become a Senior Dev" - The illustration shows a happy person holding a certificate. 2. **Step 2**: "Burn out" - The illustration shows the same person looking exhausted and stressed while working on a laptop. 3. **Step 3**: "Become a gardener" - The illustration shows the person happily tending to plants. The comic strip humorously suggests that the path to becoming a gardener involves first becoming a senior developer, experiencing burnout, and then choosing a more peaceful profession.
Just finished The Operator. I have a lot of love for it. The music and story are high class.
Very small team. What they've been able to produce is very impressive. The feelings it produces is immense. Easily on of my favourite games of the last couple years.

I know Biden pulling out of the US presidential race is big news but I can’t stop thinking about how an asparagus fortune teller prediction on Jeremy Vine could be right.
