This is probably the last major anniversary that these veterans will experience. It’s the 80th anniversary and they were at least 18 at the time they fought. Most of these folks are around 100 years old now. National treasures, the lot of them.

Potentially significant: NFL executive Troy Vincent said today that the league will look into the play where the offensive player's fumble through the end zone equals a touchback. That will be discussed in the offseason.
