Love this! Nice work Charlotte Windebank and the FIRST team. Another brilliant programme funded North of Tyne Combined Authority. Many more people could have successful business, but don't know it yet.
Did you catch us on ITV? We were thrilled to be featured in a news article, which highlighted the inspiring journey of Ukrainian refugees currently enrolled in our Understanding Enterprise course. To watch the news article visit youarefirst.co.uk/news/artic… #equityandinclusion #NTCA

Sometimes all it takes is a little knowledge and meeting others with the similar dreams. If this sounds like someone you know, maybe share this with them.

This mirrors conversations I've been having with investors both in the UK and in the US over the last year or so. "potential investors are put off by the university acting as a large, passive shareholder"

Equity is a difficult balance to get right at the best of times, but it feels like there's 2 possible solutions to this issue. 1) Take less equity 2) Be less passive and provide for value for that equity

Exciting news! NTCA are funding some awesome projects such as enabling me & the @igniteaccel team to support the next generation of startup founders. An important piece of puzzle when it comes to competing internationally & creating jobs for the future. theguardian.com/politics/202…

After sending a no email to a founder today, I got this back: "Thanks for the quick reply. Much appreciated your straightforward response. And the feedback is super helpful!" I wish all VCs (& LPs for that matter) aimed to give a fast yes / no - it's the least we can do. ✨✨

So proud of @millyshaw killing it at @ButtonConf! We all know how useful feedback is, yet it's often tricky to navigate.
On the #Button2022 main stage, @millyshaw shows how to get the right feedback, from the right people, at the right time. Taking all the notes... ✍️
