This reminds me of FUTO in early 2017. Water just randomly started shooting out of a tree at the bus park. Students , drivers, passers-by , everyone entered a spiritual frenzy, looking for gallons and water bottles to collect this miracle holy water. They thought this was God’s handwork. After a while of the religious foolishness, we discovered that the tree had grown over an abandoned water distribution pipe which was laid in the 1990s when FUTO was being built. Someone had turned on a valve at the tank and water sprouted out. This desperate need to sacrifice common reasoning at the slightest occurrence of a yet inexplicable event is part of the reason why Nigeria is where it is today.
