🚨JUST IN: A 27-year-old mom allegedly stabbed her husband and their 3-year-old son to death inside a hotel room at Great Wolf Lodge in the Poconos. Then she called 911 asking how to find the right vein so she could finish herself off.
"My husband and son are already gone," she told dispatchers. "They're already gone, I'm sorry."
Metallica Rose Harrison stabbed them both in the chest, police say. Her husband Charles was found on the mattress. Their little boy was found on the floor. Two knives were recovered from the bathroom.
When cops arrested her, she refused to talk, saying she was "suicidal, not stupid." In the ambulance she told medics, "Every day, I work so hard to be the best person, the best mother, the best wife... I was supposed to have my happy family."
Then she asked how deep her vein was so she'd know for "next time."
The family had been staying at the resort since September 21st and had just extended their stay.
She's now charged with two counts of criminal homicide. This exactly what I was afraid of after the Lindsay Clancy verdict.
When a jury tells the world a mother can kill her children and walk away saying it was her mental state, that sends a message. Every mom who snaps now has a playbook, and I guarantee her potential lawyers are already studying it. Meanwhile, a wonderful 3-year-old boy and his dad are dead.

JUST IN: Texas mother is accused of shooting and killing her two sons.
42-year-old Colleen Nichole Lemmon is accused of shooting and killing both of her sons in their Waxahachie home.
Police say they arrived at the home to find two male victims, one 15 years old and the other 21 years old, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Police identified the 21-year-old son as Christopher Scott Pitre.
Lemmon, 42, was arrested and taken to the hospital for "treatment." She reportedly had non-life-threatening injuries.
She was later released from the hospital and booked at the Wayne McCollum Detention Center.
Investigators have not revealed what led to the murders. The mother is charged with two counts of capital murder.
It's unclear if Lemmon has "postpartum depression."

Man gas is really expensive, I better vote for the party that flooded our country with tens of millions of illegals, funded the creation of COVID-19 that killed tens of millions, turned the intel agencies on private citizens, mutilated & indoctrinated our children at scale, stole an election, illegally spied on the opposition party/candidate, sabotaged an administration, framed a duly elected president, ignited a color revolution, bankrolled Hamas protests on college campuses and universities, censored Americans, jailed supporters, staged a fedsurrection, locked hands with islamists, and installed a non compos mentis dementia patient as leader of the free world.

Bitcoin bear markets do something beautiful to you.
They remove the part of your brain that still expects comfort.
After enough 70% drawdowns, exchange failures, miner capitulations, liquidation cascades, regulatory funerals, and relatives asking whether “that Bitcoin thing” is finally over, you stop reacting like a normal human being.
You watch six figures evaporate before breakfast and calmly refill the coffee machine because you already know the ending.
That is what the bear market gives you.
A dulled yet gorgeous certainty.
You have seen Bitcoin declared dead at $3,000, irresponsible at $10,000, finished at $16,000, and institutionally captured at $100,000.
Eventually the volatility stops looking like danger and starts looking like the violent monetization of an asset the world has not psychologically caught up with yet.
You see another generation of sellers permanently transferring scarce property to people who can endure discomfort.
Bear markets mold you into something deeply abnormal. A person who can watch Bitcoin fall 40%, feel nothing, buy more, and understand with terrifying calm that $1,000,000 is a certain destination.
The fantasy is believing the world can keep printing infinite currency against 21 million coins forever without eventually discovering the price.

A lazy design decision at best. But hey, we shouldn't expect a reasonable amount of entropy from a wallet vendor. It's our fault for not rolling dice, we were the lazy ones.

I'm a software engineer with an MSc in Computer Science and 25+ years in the industry. Here's why Coinkite's Coldcard bug isn't an oopsy, it's disqualifying.
Coldcard's seed generation silently fell back to a non-cryptographic "random" number generator for 5 years. Not because crypto is hard, but because Coinkite violated the most basic rule of secure system design: fail closed, never open. When a security-critical path can't be verified, the system refuses to run and throws an error.
It does not quietly substitute something weaker and carry on. This code should have refused to produce a seed. Instead it produced a predictable one and continue silently. ☠️
A company that lets its most critical code path go unverified for half a decade cannot be trusted with your keys.
Throw away your Coldcards. Never buy one again.
