65% of votes in Alabama were cast for Trump, but 63% of Alabama adults didn't vote for him. Either because they voted for someone else or didn't vote at all. So please remember you are not alone. And we're going to need to pull together. alabamareflector.com/2024/11… via @ALReflector

Like many of my friends, this election was tough, for many reasons. And as the pundits and amateur politicos continue their arguing and hand-wringing about the supposed lessons, my thoughts have been more focused on w... i.mtrbio.com/pdwtwqpmvq

We lost, that's true. But also, it was a close election, nowhere near a mandate. We aren't a tiny minority of the population, we're at least 47%. So whatever you do, don't allow yourself to feel like you're all alone. You're in good company with 70 million other Americans.

Months ago, @ACLU prepared memos on the potential threats a Trump administration could pose to our rights—from immigration to abortion to trans rights—and how we can respond.
Now is a good time to review them:

Donald Trump — the twice impeached former president, Jan. 6 coup leader, convicted felon, adjudicated sexual abuser, and man who mismanaged the 2020 economic implosion and coronavirus disaster that killed more than 1 million people in this country — has convinced American voters to give him another term in the White House.

Alabama is cooked. The Republican controlled AL Supreme Court this year ruled IVF unconstitutional. They are an elected body here, and the only contested seat was the chief justice. A justice, who voted to ban IVF, just won that race. Btw, said justice is a woman 🫡

The single worst thing about Trump to me will always be how much he's changed people. I've watched friends and relatives become entirely new, worse people in the wake of his political rise. Like it's not merely that he's a terrible guy, it's that he's ruined people.

Remember, Alabama, if you are still in line when the polls are supposed to close, they have to let you vote.
It seems that @duolingo has taken away the ability to practice to earn hearts, and that kinda sucks.

If you are turned away at the polls, your response [verbatim] should be as follows: “Give me a provisional ballot with a receipt, as required by law.”
Pass it on.

Your doctor says you need a heart scan. Your insurance company says they won't pay for it.
This company might be why. "EviCore markets itself to insurance companies by promising a 3-to-1 return on investment ... EviCore salespeople have boasted of a 15% increase in denials"

Reality Check: A federal judge appointed by Donald Trump is blocking Alabama’s late-hour voter purge.
The Biden-Harris Administration is blocking Alabama’s attempt to prevent 3,000 likely non-citizens from voting.
They continue to show us that American families are not their priority.
We need President Trump back in the White House so we can deport non-citizens who vote and restore the integrity of our elections.
