My article answering the biggest questions surrounding the NBA's Seattle-Las Vegaas expansion:
lastwordonsports.com/basketb…
The NBA isn’t happy with the current expansion bids to revive the Seattle SuperSonics, per @WindhorstESPN (espn.com/nba/story/_/id/5019…).
The bidding is significantly less than what is taking place in Las Vegas, which could have their new ownership group announced in a few weeks.
This comes just a month after Adam Silver hinted that Seattle had ownership groups who chose not to make themselves public

Adam Silver "left owners with the impression" that a Seattle expansion team isn't a lock following a September board of governors meeting.
Silver reintroduced Mexico City as a "possible destination" during the meeting.

NBA commissioner Adam Silver hasn't been satisfied with the current bids for a Seattle expansion team, per @WindhorstESPN.
Silver reportedly left owners with the impression that a SuperSonics redux "isn't a lock" and that a Mexico City-based group has presented an appealing proposal.
Seattle no longer being seen as a potential destination for expansion is 100% a decision motivated by money. While LV has ownerships groups flocking to Nevada, Samantha Holloway's Seattle Kraken group are the only ones making their interest in Seattle public.
Seattle is no longer considered a lock for an NBA expansion team, Adam Silver has informed team owners, per @WindhorstESPN.
The league is reportedly using Mexico City as a potential alternative to pressure Seattle’s bidding group into raising its offer.

Allow me to vent: It’s always disappointing when I’m in press and media rooms and there are people there openly admitting that they don’t like the NBA or have no interest in covering it but they’re assigned there anyway. I’ll never have an issue with people seeing the work as a job but I plead with these companies - there are people desperately waiting for the opportunity to be in these rooms. Find them. Invest in them. Take an interest in their future. What is produced on the other side will be worth it.
