For every AAPI victim of harassment.
For every AAPI victim of violence.
For every AAPI treated as the “other.”
The Senate just passed the COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act.
Hate has no place here.

“But there have been other violent protests the past yr.”
Yes, but Wed was unlike anything in my lifetime. Why?
1. Place: US Capitol.
2. Instigator: US President.
3. Symbols: Crosses, Nooses, Confederate Flags, “Jesus Saves” signs.
4. Aim: overturn election.
God help us.

In light of what is happening politically, we must remember the impact that viewing, hearing, and discussing these events has on us- that is known, felt, & stored by our bodies. Please remember rest, nature, movement, touch, creativity, & play to help us not to store the stress.

A man preaching at the same church Martin Luther King, Jr., preached — and John Lewis bowed his head at — just said this about his mother: “The 82-year-old hands that used to pick somebody else’s cotton went to the polls and picked her youngest son to be a United States Senator.”

I will never understand why so many Christians we’re willing to forfeit their integrity to support Trump... And as much as I am troubled by Trump, I will always be even more troubled by the Christians who defended him. They will not “bounce back” from this after Trump is gone.

#AmericaFirst is heresy.
God never said, "America first..."
God said: "The last shall be first."
The Bible doesn't say: "For God so loved America..."
It says: "For God so loved the world..."
May our love be as big as God's love.
God's love has no borders.
