Can confirm - don't check valuable gear through Johannesburg. Baggage handlers broke the lock off and stole my medium format and 35mm camera, along with some other gear. Hoping @Delta can help cover the loss.

I am a million miler with them and they usually do a great job taking care of me so let's keep our fingers crossed! Good news is my cinema cameras and main lenses were with me as carry on, so I'm good for my shoot in Mozambique - still a bummer though!

This morning my 9 year old sniffed out compatiblism. We were talking about free will vs determinism and he said “I think we really do make choices freely - there just isn’t any reason to think we would have chosen differently.” He’s reaching conclusions at 9 that I did at 35.

ChatGPT is your therapist. Gemini is your researcher. Claude is your builder. I use all three, but if you want actual superpowers? Claude Code is the one changing my life right now.

AI-generated content sometimes feels soulless. But AI-assisted processes? That's where things get interesting. The future isn't necessarily human vs. AI — it may be human products, AI processes.

I had zero coding experience. In one week I built multiple Airbnb booking sites, a website for a web agency, and an entire social media app. We are absolutely cooked (in the best way).

Claude code is the most incredible tool I've ever experienced. I just vibe coded a system that checks a specific apple note for a grocery list every 4 days (we can add items as we think of them), finds the right items, places the order for delivery. Confirmation via whatsapp. 🤯

This thread is a tough read. I wrote “no one is coming to save you” before reading replies and so many men say the exact same phrase.

Have you ever tasted something and thought “that’s too much basil”? I bet you haven’t. I’m not sure there’s an upper limit to basil’s deliciousness.

I find @CosmicSkeptic 's explanation of a heirarchical contingency argument for God's existence pretty...... compelling. Just me? youtube.com/watch?v=aqWTlUOh…

I mean, it doesn't entail the existence of "God" as most western Christians would conceptualize, but it least does a pretty good job at establishing the need for *something* foundational.
