On October 1, 2026, TIME Magazine published a combative, 75-minute interview with President Donald Trump. Conducted on September 28 at the White House, the interview coincides with Trump setting a record by appearing on the cover of TIME for the 56th time, surpassing Richard Nixon. Key takeaways from the wide-ranging discussion, which occurs just weeks before the 2026 midterm elections: 1. Midterms and "State of Emergency" Trump refused to rule out the possibility of declaring a national state of emergency before the upcoming midterm elections. When asked about the prospect of utilizing emergency powers or the Insurrection Act to manage political instability, he responded, "Stranger things have happened, I'll leave it at that." He also dismissed his current low poll numbers as "fake numbers" driven by "corrupt" pollsters. 2. The War with Iran Addressing the ongoing war with Iran—now in its eighth month—Trump deflected responsibility for his initial predictions that the conflict would last only a few weeks. He blamed the media for feeding those timelines to the public, asserted that he chose to prolong the conflict to "go further," and cast doubt on long-term diplomatic solutions, stating, "I don't think you could ever have peace" with Iran unless the nation is "annihilated." 3. Pre-emptive Pardons Trump revealed he is actively considering issuing pre-emptive pardons to members of his administration, staff, and associates to insulate them from future investigations if Democrats take control of Congress. He justified this by claiming former President Joe Biden "gave pardons to everyone," explicitly citing Biden's pardons of family members and officials like Dr. Anthony Fauci. 4. Infrastructure & The Kennedy Center Trump took a hard line on federal architecture and infrastructure, refusing to commit to protecting the Kennedy Center from demolition. "I'm not committing to anything," Trump stated. He spent a portion of the interview showcasing photographs of historic White House renovations while venting about judges and legal injunctions that have complicated his own construction projects. 5. Clashes with TIME Staff The interview grew highly combative, with Trump at one point interrupting the reporters to complain about the lack of "softball" questions. He openly criticized the TIME staff for not asking "one f‑‑‑ing positive question," continuing his long-standing grievances regarding mainstream press coverage.

DONALD TRUMP WAS ASKED IF HE'D CANCEL THE MIDTERMS AND HE WOULDN'T SAY NO Not "of course not." Not "that's insane." TIME magazine asked him point blank about invoking the Insurrection Act around the midterms and scrapping elections entirely — and Trump said "I'm not committing to anything" Let that sentence sit in your chest for a second This is the President of the United States refusing to rule out martial law over an American election He already told Reuters the quiet part out loud — "we shouldn't even have an election" — because apparently winning the presidency should mean Trump just gets to keep running the table forever Karoline Leavitt rushed out to call it a joke. A joke about suspending democracy. Hilarious. Workshop that material somewhere else Meanwhile Trump is also dodging questions about sending wrecking balls into the Kennedy Center without Congress, saying he'll "see how it plays out in court" — translation, he'll do it anyway and let judges clean up after Same posture. Same pattern. Ask Trump if there are limits on his power and the answer is always some version of we'll see This isn't a gaffe. This is a man openly floating whether elections are even necessary anymore and daring the country to stop him Half the political press will cover this as "Trump mulls options." No. Trump mulled whether you get to vote And he did it two months before the midterms, in print, on the record, with zero walk-back that actually walks anything back This is not a joke. This is the plan. And he just told you to your face.

In every case the company knew first. By decades. In writing. 1924: the makers of leaded petrol lose five workers to lead madness in one plant. Their own scientist calls the product a gift of God. Lead stays in the tank until 2000, and takes a measured slice of IQ off every child born in the century. 1930s: the asbestos company's own doctors find the lung disease and the company settles the lawsuits quietly, with silence clauses, for 40 years. 1953: the tobacco companies meet in New York, read their own research, and set up an institute to manufacture doubt about it. It runs for 44 years. 1961: the chemical company finds its non-stick coating in the blood of its workers and the livers of its rats. It tells no one for 40 years. It is now in the blood of every person on earth. 1965: the sugar industry pays three Harvard men to blame fat. The paper runs in the top journal. The payment is found in a box in 2016. 1966: the maker of PCBs finds dead fish downstream of its plant and writes an internal memo recommending the company say nothing. It is 1977 before they are banned. 1990s: the makers of the opioid know the addiction rate from their own files and tell doctors it is under one percent. 2000s: the makers of a diabetes drug see the heart attacks in their own data and keep selling. 2010 before it is pulled. The pattern is not a secret conspiracy. It is a filing cabinet. The company knew, the knowledge sat in a drawer, and the consensus outside the building was built on the brochure. So when the brochure says a seed oil is heart healthy and the trans fat is gone and the formula is complete, ask the only question the last century has ever answered the same way. What is in the drawer.

You’ve gotta admire Bibi Netanyahu. Every time he’s in trouble, he comes up with something atrocious to get him off the hook. You’ll be pleasantly surprised to hear that his latest devious plot didn’t even involve killing anyone. Yes, you read that right! With just four weeks until election day, Bibi stared into his crystal ball and predicted that a major attack was coming. You’ll never guess what happened the next day: one of Israel’s mortal enemies hijacked an airliner to help boost him in the polls. Isn’t it lovely when Muslims and Jews put aside their differences to work together? Now I apologise if I get anything wrong here because the story is changing every five seconds, but the latest one goes something like this: An Israeli was going to the toilet on the plane when he heard a fight in the cockpit. He notified the staff, but unfortunately the plane started falling out of the sky. Ordinary people would cry their eyes out, but Israelis are not normal people. Half of the passengers whipped out their phones and started filming while they were in freefall. Their faith is so strong that they knew they weren’t gonna die. The reinforced cockpit door mysteriously opened and a bunch of air hostesses stormed the cockpit. They bravely took down the hijacker co-pilot who was armed with an axe. Most air hostesses would be useless in this situation, but the Israeli air hostesses took this fucker down without taking a scratch. They’re all basically GI Jane. The captain had been hacked with the axe, but he was still breathing because he’s also super hard. Naturally, they sat him in a chair and wiped him down. That’s the correct medical procedure for someone who’s been hacked multiple times with an axe. While all this was going on, a heroic plumber took control of the joystick and stabilised the plane, using skills that he learnt from watching Air Crash Investigation. He was so confident in his skills that he was ready to fly all the way to someone else’s home, but thankfully he didn’t need to. A couple of passengers suddenly remembered they are off-duty pilots and kindly took control of the plane. It safely landed in Saudi Arabia and everyone cheered, but then they groaned when they realised they were in Saudi Arabia. Thankfully, they’re back in the promised land now. The first thing they wanted to do when they stepped off then plane was hug Netanyahu in front of cameras. The Israeli prime minister was so ready for this moment that he instantly knew the hijacker was a jihadist trained in Iran. He announced this important detail, expecting the world to celebrate the heroes who staved off another 9/11. Unfortunately, no one believed him and the whole internet kept saying “false flag” so he’s now backed away from the Iran claims. Personally, I’m disgusted that people are accusing Israel of another false flag, just because that’s what it’s done again. Just know that those antisemites don’t matter. What’s important is that Bibi’s ratings went up by six points, increasing the likelihood that he’ll avoid jail for letting October 7 happen.

Extraordinary. Plane falls at 500 feet per second, rudder rips right off from stress, but no cabin disturbance of any kind. No lockers burst open, nobody thrown out of their seat, no drinks trolley thrown about. Passengers possessions all in place.

He’s literally still doing the thing that got him impeached the first time (illegally withholding/misappropriating Congressionally approved funds meant to provide aid to Ukraine/Europe).
Trump has diverted $52 million—originally earmarked for Europe in response to the war in Ukraine—to Latin American countries; the *Washington Post* reports this. Trump proves every day that he is Putin's whore. The US Congress had appropriated these funds in 2022 for Slovakia, North Macedonia, Tunisia, and Iraq. The money was intended to benefit Ukraine and its European neighbors, as well as to encourage other nations to stop supplying weapons to Russia. However, the Trump administration decided to redirect the funds to Panama, Peru, Ecuador, and Colombia instead. Democrats (Jeanne Shaheen and Gregory Meeks) placed a hold on the funds, which—according to the *Washington Post*—the administration disregarded in late September, proceeding with the diversion regardless. The US State Department justified redirecting the funds from Europe and the Middle East to the Western Hemisphere by stating that the move aligned with the US national security strategy.

BREAKING: GOOD! Renee Good’s family hits the Trump administration and ICE agents with massive lawsuits for the senseless killing of their loved one. This is what we’ve all been calling for… The suits have been brought by Good’s partner Becca Good and her brother Brent Ganger. They allege wrongful death, conspiracy, and other serious legal violations connected to the shooting. Good, who was a mother of three, was killed by masked ICE agent Jonathan Ross in Minneapolis while trying to drive out of an intimidating situation. The White House then smeared Good by falsely claiming that she was a “domestic terrorist” attempting to run the agent down despite video evidence disproving the claim. The suit against the federal government seeks compensatory damages not only for Good’s tragic death but the “immense suffering Renee endured in the final moments of her life and for the profound and permanent losses that her death has inflicted upon her family.” The second lawsuit outlines a conspiracy to violate civil rights and demands a jury trial on the matter. It tears into the feds for allegedly hiding evidence connected to the shooting. It further alleges a “carefully planned, coordinated effort between senior federal officials and private actors to make two ethnic communities — Minnesotans of Somali and Hispanic descent and origin — the object of aggression and abduction, and to silence by intimidation, arrest and violence the neighbors and allies of those targeted communities who observed, documented and warned of that campaign.” The suit names Ross as a defendant but also targets arch-fascist Stephen Miller, the architect of Trump’s cruel, murderous immigration crackdowns. It also names former DHS secretary Kristi Noem, her advisor (and alleged lover) Corey Lewandowski, Border Czar Tom Homan, former Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons, U.S. Border Patrol commander Gregory Bovino, as well as ten federal agents. “What happened to us should never happen to any family,” Becca Good stated. “No child should grow up without a parent because of it. No one should lose their sister or their daughter. No one should have to live without their soulmate.” “Accountability — real accountability — is the only way to make sure that no other family has to go through what we have,” she added. We hope that she takes these monsters to the cleaners. Please ❤️ and share if you support the lawsuit!

These are the different excuses I've heard, over the past 2 years, for why Harris and Biden didn't challenge the rigged 2024 election, and Democrats continue to keep it a secret: 1) They were/are being threatened; 2) They feared civil war; 3) They didn't/don't want to interfere in an international election fraud investigation; 4) They didn't/don't want to "sound" like Trump; 5) "Democratic leadership" told them not to expose or contest it; 6) The ICC was going to do it; 7) They're waiting to gather evidence before exposing it; 8) Trump's favorite autocrats threatened to nuke Europe if they did; and 9) They didn't/don't want Americans to question the security of our elections. Since 01/20/25, the illegitimate Trump Regime and complicit GOP have done everything humanly possible to destroy America's democracy, loot our treasury, dismantle our government and fill it with loyalists, terrorize/wrongfully imprison/rape immigrants, alientate our allies, militarily invade other countries, impoverish the masses, remove our safety nets, further enrich the very wealthy, and hold onto power indefinitely. Do any of above-noted excuses work for you?

Records come and records go. But this is one for the ages. The preliminary Nino 3.4 sea-surface temperature anomaly is now at a record 3.23°C above the 1991-2020 baseline. This crushes the previous daily record set in 1982 by over 1.14°C. The Climate 8-ball is looking up.

Yesterday, I posted that there are so many things behaviorally wrong with Pete Hegseth, that I couldn't begin to list them all. It's hard to diagnose this guy from afar because he's such an ambitiously disingenuous persona but here are some observations: He is arrogant and ignorant - a Trumpian trait that's run amok. We just saw it in Eric Schmitt. His narrative never has any depth. He speaks in absolutes, as if what he claims is good and what he claims is right are not even complex subjects, or debates borne of any perspective. He fixates on American Exceptionalism but believes that it's only defined by musculature and pomposity. He couldn't care less for us being a shining example for others, or a force for a greater good. You never hear that from him. He couldn't care less for sharing - strategy or even that there IS a strategy - because he doesn't believe in being accountable. He doesn't present arguments. He doesn't share justifications. The only thing he cares less for than transparency, is humanity. His inhumanity is buttressed by his delusion that he is starring in a war movie, or a video game. This makes him come off as a caricature, and a toxic one. Because he can't shut the movie off and he can't disconnect the video game. That's why I used the word "delusion." He creates lasting disdain for America, both at home and on a global level, like few others ever have and make no mistake - this disdain will permeate for a generation. He is a religious fanatic, although he uses God as a prop and a punch line. Some of the clips from his speech yesterday were --- I'm at a loss to describe it. As a behaviorist, I can feel the things he's been accused of - like misogyny and xenophobia and the reckless sharing of info - and alcoholism - underlying his attitude and every utterance, and you can feel how unapologetic he is for any of it. And speaking of alcoholism, he is drunk on power, and when you combine that with lack of accountability and religious zeal, you have a most dangerous convergence, which has led him to butt heads with our best, and unashamedly gut our military leadership. He is a brazen politician serving an audience of one. He is a Made for TV concoction, and a vacuous mishmash of hormones and neurotransmitters. He would have already been impeached in the House from Massie's motion, but the House recessed. At a time when disgrace, danger, and disturbances are everywhere - the fact that this bigoted mock-macho maniac is running the US Defense Dept. is one of the most disgraceful, dangerous and disturbing things of all.
