And now the federal investigation will slowly fade away.
Clippers owner Steve Ballmer is complying with the NBA's punishments of the franchise for salary cap circumvention, deciding not to pursue any legal action. Statement from Ballmer:
This has been a very difficult time for everybody associated with the Clippers, and for that, I have sincere regrets. I want to apologize to our fans, employees, and my fellow NBA team owners for the distraction and distress this matter has caused, for which I accept responsibility as principal owner.
We are committing to put this chapter behind us. We have communicated to the NBA that we are complying with the penalties assessed by the league, have paid the fine, and are moving forward. While there are still disagreements concerning the findings in the report, this is not where I want to focus. Team owners should support, not distract.
The challenges ahead of us are significant, but so is our resolve. We will continue to build our team and invest in our community. The confidence of our fans is our priority. With our talented roster, outstanding staff and clear vision, I am certain that we will compete at the highest level and be an organization our fans can be proud of.

Clippers fan here. @russwest44 is definitely HOF player. One of the best to do it. You love him if he’s on your team and hate him he’s not. But that is a man I would want with me if I was going into battle. Congratulations on an incredible career.

Bombshell avocado oil study just dropped
Links to the study and brands implicated below, including Siete and Boulder :(
A team out of UC Davis (Selina Wang's lab) pulled avocado- and olive-oil-based processed foods off California shelves and ran them through the lab.
Genuine avocado oil and olive oil should be mostly oleic acid, a monounsaturated fat, and carry very little linoleic acid ~10% at most. The cheap oils most often used to cut them, soybean, sunflower, canola, are the mirror image.
93% of the chips and other products failed to confirm a normal avocado oil signature
They confirmed these concerning signatures with sterol profiles and cis-vaccenic acid, a second independent fingerprint of seed-oil adulteration
Whether this is dubious, or yet again more companies not vetting suppliers, is unknown.

Today’s generation of players only know Chuck as the funny guy who eats donuts on TNT. They have no idea how good he was.
Houston Barkley was a better player than peak Draymond. Chuck not letting him know that was a masterclass in grace and humility.

Christian astronaut pilots first moon mission in 53 years
Victor Glover, NASA Artemis II astronaut, made some remarkable statements in a pre-Easter interview from the Orion space capsule.
He cites "the beauty of creation" and says “When I read the Bible and I look at all of the amazing things that were done for us…” and then says we were "created."
Glover then says that Earth is an "amazing place" and Earth "was created to give us a place to live in the universe".
He goes on to say "You are special. In all of this emptiness, this is a whole bunch of nothing this thing we call the universe, you have this oasis, this beautiful place that we get to exist together."
