As you watch Elon Musk burn through 300 million dollars plus in these midterms, like it’s nothing (it is nothing to him!), on candidates who are crooks like Ken Paxton, remember the case for a wealth tax.

Lots of LSU news to share. First: RJ Luis will NOT be cleared to play by the SEC and LSU has given up its fight for him to be eligible, sources told @CBSSports. Luis would be in violation of the SEC's rule that prevents players returning to college after signing a pro contract.

JD Vance: It’s laughable to me the idea that Donald Trump has somehow been enriched by political office. I don’t think there’s evidence that the Trump family has become enriched by politics.

Elon Musk just donated $7 million to one Republican, because Citizens United gave a loophole to billionaires to buy elections.

“We are where we are” - the Trump administration’s official position on their disastrous war against Iran.
JD Vance: "I see what Abdul El-Sayed says about the war in Iran. I see him criticizing decisions the president has made, the military has made. But fundamentally we are where we are. In my view, I'd like to know what's Abdul El-Sayed's solution for the problem we have right now? It's easy to criticize something that happened 7 months ago."

This is disgusting and if we didn’t accept open Islamophobia and anti-Arab racism, this would’ve been a viral news story. But bc anti-Muslim hatred is so accepted in our society, and by both parties, it not even trending.

BREAKING: Volodymyr Zelenskyy tells @piersmorgan he has been betrayed by Trump, that Elon Musk and the US deliberately cut off Starlink and people are being killed as a result
“This is not the right side of history,” he says. “It is a pity that we are losing a strong partner”
On Musk and Starlink he says: “This decision will bring a lot of human losses. Of course, people will die”
“I am sure they knew what they
did, absolutely. Because it was 1am at night, Starlink was blocked by SpaceX and the United States”
“It’s not just about attack. It’s also about defending life. So people were killed because, not enough destroying, not enough
interceptors, including interceptors with Starlink, which didn't work. Of
course.”
Asked if he’s angry with Musk, Zelenskyy says: “Yes, I think he is not right. It's a big mistake.”

I actually don't think candidates need to go out of their way to disprove obviously fake, bad faith conspiracies about themselves that only exist to suck to the oxygen out of every conversation. It's like arguing with a really stupid wall.
Texas Democratic Senate nominee James Talarico's viral hospital rumor has been debunked by time-stamped security footage reviewed by The New York Times — but the bigger story may be why his campaign sat on the evidence while the conspiracy theory exploded across social media for days.
Talarico disappeared from the campaign trail for nine days in early October, fueling rampant speculation that he had secretly traveled to an Ohio behavioral health center. His campaign maintained he was home with the flu, and security camera images from his Austin home now back that up. But GOP strategists and journalists are torching the campaign's response as "mind-numbing malpractice" for not releasing the footage sooner.
With Election Day just weeks away in one of the biggest Senate races in the country, the question has shifted from where Talarico was to why his team let the narrative spiral unchecked when they had the receipts the entire time.
