I have a gut feeling. “That’s your vagus nerve.” It’s telling me to gamble. “Oh, that’s the Vegas nerve.”

If a) almost everyone is about to lose their job to the ai, b) most companies are about to lose almost all their customers and go out of business. Because b) cannot be allowed to happen, a) will not happen

I still don’t believe Texas will elect a strongly Calvinist Presbyterian like James Talarico. But judging from the increasingly desperate Paxton texts, their campaign thinks it might happen

Rioting and protesting is of course a time-honored tradition in France. The only difference now is the Frenchmen are sitting in that chair in the corner watching it happen.
This has nothing to do with immigration you massive piece of shit

New entry in the “here’s a picture where nothing is happening” genre
I see the protests in France are trending. Since I just spent 10 days there during the heart of them, I figured I'd chime in with what's actually going on. The news and clickbait accounts on X will show you the outlier events: burning buildings, raging violence and everything that triggers you. I was in the heart of Aix en Provence during the biggest protest day and filmed the center where it was happening. (See below) This is right the University, across from the church, dead center of town. The students are dancing, singing, kicking soccer balls and have comically barricaded the entrance doors to force the school to close. I visited many cities in France during the protest period, and saw zero violence or malpractice of any kind. More broadly, I spent more than a month this year in France across 3 trips and 10+ cities, including Paris, Bordeaux, Aix en Provence, Nice, Antibes, Biarritz, and others, and it's incredibly safe, charming, peaceful and beautiful. Every city I visited is nicer than almost every American city, and there's zero comparison. So much that it wouldn't even be insulting to France to try, because nobody who has spent significant time in both countries would take this comparison seriously. I spoke with the students at length about their views. I also spoke with waiters, drivers, merchants, staff and whoever. They were all civil, well articulated and genuinely wanted to see change. We can disagree about their reasoning, logic or whatever, and it's true that France has fiscal problems, but to chalk up the France protests to raging extremist violence from "pick your favorite group to blame", is a laughable misrepresentation of what's actually going on. If you exclusively watch the news and believe the top 1% extreme situations, you have likely been psyoped.

Cotton candy bacon. I would’ve said no one was asking for this, but there was a long line of people

I don’t understand why 400k people saw this stupid post, why 215 people bookmarked it, why anyone got mad about it, and why I got 190 new (seemingly mostly fake) followers from it

My favorite genre of response was Canadians saying some variation of “uhhh and WHY exactly would I want a trip to the US?”

Everyone who uses their mind will be replaced by a soulless entity that can merely calculate the word that should come next, and you’re gloating?

Life hack: someone approached me in a parking lot today and asked me if I was registered to vote. I just said “yes” and he said cool and walked off 😂

You just won a two week all expenses paid vacation to the United States. The only catch is you have to stay in one of the squares below the whole time. Which are you choosing??

If you saw a red-faced man sweating, gesticulating, laughing maniacally, and talking about bestiality on the subway you’d change seats.
Tucker Carlson on watching b*stiality p*rnography: "If you look at p*rnography enough or b*stiality videos all day: after a while, like, it's kind of an attractive horse, I get it. I'm not into it personally, but it's not crazy."

This is not the bio of someone you want to be taking business advice from
Every business in the world runs on a functional loss except for landlords who must never be allowed to lose money for a single solitary moment of their lives.
