Again, The Establishment is HEAVILY financially supporting him (as much as or more than any other candidate in the country) because his race is much closer than it should be. They are also sending their top (black) surrogates like Kamala Harris and Barack Obama, because he is struggling (with Black) voters. Even Third Way has endorsed him. The party literally could not be doing more to help this guy win (despite him making it difficult) and yet because some random ex-party chair from over a decade ago is not supporting him, that totally vindicates Astead's running narrative that THE ESTABLISHMENT is sabotaging The Truly Pure Progressives. Just more Lefty Truthiness slop from one of the worst 'journalists' around.
From my August newsletter on the Uncommitted movement, whose establishment critics are now adopting their playbook: “In the coming months, it may be that the Democrats’ moderate wing — think tanks like Third Way, party leadership, and those offended by the electorate’s rising leftist tide — who will adopt some of the same tactics they criticized. Already, Rep. Hillary Scholten, who is supporting Stevens in Michigan, has signaled she may refuse to support El-Sayed in a general election, due to his association with Piker. It seems “vote blue no matter who” has its limits. For progressives. For centrists. For everyone.”

A candidate for the U.S. Senate says Israel is not America's friend. I'm Israeli. I grew up in Israel. My family is Israeli. And I can tell you this: Few nations hold America as close to their hearts as Israelis do. Fact: Israelis admire America. 81% of Israelis view the United States favorably - the highest percentage among 36 countries surveyed by Pew in 2026. Who else in the Middle East does? No other U.S. ally can have 200 fighter jets in the sky in 3 hours notice. Modest compared with America's military might, certainly. But backed by something more important: a profound commitment to the United States, regardless of who occupies the White House. Security is real. Capabilities are real. And friendship is real too. This candidate understands nothing of it. He is trying to pick up votes through hate. None of this requires defending Netanyahu. None of it requires endorsing everything Israel has done in recent years. It requires understanding one fact: Israel America's most enduring ally in the Middle East. Criticizing an Israeli government is legitimate. Pretending Israel is America's enemy is something else entirely. Any other notion is just bigotry masquerading as conspiracy theory- or conspiracy theory masquerading as bigotry.

In all seriousness, how does it help El-Sayed to win the election to spread paranoid persecution fantasies rather than note that he is actively supported by Obama, Slotkin, Whitmer, Schumer, Stevens, McMorrow, etc and if you like all those people you should vote for him?

The judge who signed the warrant to raid Rep. Ilhan Omar's DC home is a Hillary Clinton donor who clerked for an Obama appointee. That fact alone demolishes the left's claim that this is some Trump-orchestrated political hit job. Mike Davis argues the opposite is true: the evidence against Omar must be so overwhelming that even a judge with deep leftist ties couldn't refuse to sign off. The Fourth Amendment requires probable cause of at least one federal crime inside that home, and U.S. Magistrate Judge Matthew Sharbaugh — appointed by a bench dominated by Obama and Biden picks — found it was there. Omar's allies in Congress, including Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Jamie Raskin, and Rashida Tlaib, cried political revenge. But Davis says the simplest explanation is the most damning one for Democrats: a federal indictment may be coming before Christmas, and the evidence trail appears to reach well beyond Omar alone. This is a societal choice. It should serve as a warning to other western countries who similarly refuse to address the threat of unvetted migration and domestic radicalization.

My geopolitics in a nutshell: I stand with Israel in their fight against jihadism. I stand with the Iranian people in their fight against the Islamic regime. I stand with Ukraine in their fight against expansionist Russia. When these sides win against the madness trying to destroy them, it’s a win for the Western world. It’s a better world for everyone.

It’s not about “criticizing” Israel. It’s about the obsession, the rage, the insistence that one declare the Jewish state has committed a genocide it hasn’t committed. It’s about this tiny sliver of a country thousands of miles away becoming “progressives’” litmus test.
It’s almost certainly true that Jewish support for Democrats will go down due to criticizing Israel (though definitely not to this extent). I just don’t give a shit and neither should you

A whole ass narrative about 'Dems weaponizing social media' based on some pretty innocuous asks to take down Covid disinfo, only for RW billionaires to own all the social media outlets and do direct politicization to help Republicans. And then complete silence from every party that pretended THE TWITTER FILES!!!!!!!! was the most important story in the history of the world.

The genocide lie is evil. It is propaganda designed to rally support for terrorists, and to justify future terror attacks against Jews on the false basis of their being genocidal. Ben masterfully dismantles this vicious lie from hell.

Shadi, there is not a single case we know of in which Gazan non-combatants pleaded for their lives with Israeli troops and were shot dead anyway because they’re Palestinian or Muslim. (Maybe there were some troops that went rogue and were tried or not, but these must be exceptions). Conversely, we don’t know of a single Israeli (Jew or Arab) non combatant who pleaded with the Hamas armed men for their live, on Oct 7, and were spared. Dying in war is one thing. Killing non combatants point blank and in cold blood is something else. There is also the factor of action (Hamas) vs reaction (Israel). Capital punishment for someone convicted of murder is not a crime equivalent to the crime the convict committed. All of this is basic logic. The fact that our Arab and Muslim world don’t see it should be what concerns people like you and me and make us try to fix it. It’s an unpopular road that challenges the common Arab and Muslim thinking that I choose to walk. I see you take the easier one, the popular, bias-confirmation one. I wish you were on my side.
I've never fully understood people whose response to the killing of civilians in Gaza is basically a shrug of the shoulders and saying "life's hard" and "war's bad." A total unwillingness to acknowledge that Israelis have agency and that they could have chosen to prosecute the war differently. They chose not to.

oh my god, maybe the first actual journalist to do some actual research into what @hasanthehun believes, and not just endlessly simp for him because some marketing agency tells them to
As I prepared for the interview by researching his commentary, I realized that Piker is right to complain that the handful of frequently repeated controversial statements fail to accurately represent his worldview. In fact, it’s much worse than those quotes suggest. theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/1…

When we started responding to Russia’s operation against our data centers, and when our strikes reached Yandex’s data centers, it suddenly became a little easier to breathe on many social media platforms. A lot of people noticed it. There was less hate, less division, and fewer provocations. Because there were fewer bots. And it’s pretty clear where those bots were coming from – if they disappeared when Yandex went offline. This proves, again and again, that Europe is not the source of the problems. Europe is not the one making everything more difficult. Most importantly, we need people in America, every morning, when the day in Europe is already moving toward evening, to really see what is happening. To see the truth. From a speech at the Warsaw Security Forum. (3/3)
