Just some thoughts this morning. PLEASE don’t hear this as judgemental if you decide a different route is what’s best for your kids. The most important thing is to recognize that parents know what’s best for THEIR kids.

Lord, may my family’s dinner table often be full and our calendar often have capacity.

I understand why some parents boast about their kids’ accomplishments. It’s only natural. But, I’m realizing the biggest parenting flex is the ability to say “My kids are well rested, free from anxiety, eat real food, and get to play for hours outside each day.”

There are about 5 things that soccer needs to change before I could ever be an actual fan. Getting rid of ties would be a good start. 🤦‍♂️

I knew parenting little kids would be hard, but no one warned me how often you have to get up when you just got comfortable.

In my 20s I had to learn to own things. My decisions control my life. In my 30s, I’ve had to learn to let go of things. Other peoples actions/decisions are not mine to own (or worry about).

If watching “Cops” while growing up has taught me anything, it’s to stay away from people with blurry faces. They are TROUBLE.

I think my dog always follows me to the bathroom because I always follow him outside. He probably just assumes that’s how it works.

Money amplifies everything it touches. It makes bad things worse and good things better. It doesn’t change anyone. It simply reveals and magnifies what’s already there.

I’m at the age where your fancy car does nothing to impress me, but if you have stripes in your lawn, I’m more jealous than I’m proud to admit.
