"everyone wants to live like Americans"
@okaythenme is right, and that's the problem. The developing world wants to live how they think Americans live. How Hollywood used to sell it.
Because the hardware is easily understood (while the human software isn't), countries are copying the car-centric, deconstructed, inhuman consumer cities that treat nature, beauty, and social connection as optional or inefficient. In the limit, it paves the path to hell.
Americans already pay the ultimate price, mentally and physically. Dubai is a bit different but it manifests spiritually. SE Asia is showing it in physical health, though their family/collectivist values keep them saner.
SEA's notion of progress looks like an early arc of US consumerism. One that China emulated and now builds regionally but with less taste, more haste, and a fuck more LEDs.
My hope is that because SEA countries are building (while the US cannot), they may yet create beautiful, biophilic, circadian-friendly, human-scale places as new tech (energy, AVs, EVs, drones) allows them, and as some US states and hopefully China start to course correct.
At the end of the day, everyone wants to live like Americans,

That’s why so many American carbon copy suburbs are being built relentlessly throughout Asia.
The upper class of every nation wants that real housewives of wherever lifestyle. Even if they don’t have the per capita income to necessarily afford it.
Even myself, I’m basically an American still where I live. Actually living like a local? Fuck that noise.

Ayu’s inspiration was the New Goblin’s board in Spider-Man 3. His first prototype used five jet engines and caught fire during ground testing, so he switched to 10 electric rotors, which he says produce over 660 lb of thrust combined.
Small shifts in his weight could tilt the board. He practiced in a safety harness and used a phone-based assistant that tracked the board’s tilt and gave him spoken cues to adjust his stance.
He says the project took about two months, with more than 10 days spent learning to fly it. Now he’s riding it over rivers and through a canyon near his hometown in Hubei.

Increasingly convinced that light will be one of the largest health conversations in the next decade.
The solution requires a societal overhaul and ends in circadian cities.
A catalyst will be an Apple or Samsung adopting full-spectrum, circadian-aligned screen technology.
How fast you learn beats how much you know. Nowhere more than in health, where what you know is no longer sufficient, and for many, increasingly a liability.

It's the decorum of it. I like the camera-less glasses idea, but you're still walking around talking to yourself in public.
This is a physical signal we already do 500 to 800 times a day--touching our own face.
You really can heal yourself. No one can do it for you. Active agent > passive patient.

Probably other problems that I cant even remember, I also healed. I now have no negative symptoms anymore and feel healthier and happier every day.
