REMAIN is unlike anything M. Night Shyamalan has ever done. His funniest film yet, but also heartbreaking, heartwarming, scary, romantic, and just absolutely beautiful. The score pierces your soul, and Phoebe Dynevor and Jake Gyllenhaal are ELECTRIC together. Their romance feels real, the twists and turns kept me guessing, and at times it feels like an Agatha Christie novel brought to life. Call it recency bias, but man… I think this might be my favorite M. Night film. I’m utterly blown away. THIS IS MY SHIT. #remain #MNightShyamalan #remainmovie

An unforgettable night at the @AcademyMuseum with @jonmchu to screen “Gwai Lo.” This USC student film short from 2002 was his first musical, my first musical, and our first film together. Seeing it on the big screen again was a beautiful, surreal experience.

If anyone else ever climbs up to the tank, they’ll spot a little reminder that Cruise left behind. Before the shoot, Chu handed Cruise a marker and suggested he sign the top of the tower, which made Cruise’s eyes light up. “It was one of those moments I’ll never forget in Hollywood,” Chu says. “I’ve done a lot of things, but that’s one of, never, never forget.”
