Thirty years ago this week I was on a plane to the USA to premier a new work at the SIGGRAPH Art Show.
"Turbulence: an interactive museum of un-natural history" was an interactive laserdisc installation that explored the emerging concept of artificial life.
Amazingly, the software still runs on my laptop today.
The exhibition was a defining moment in my career, leading to over 40 exhibitions across Europe, UK, Japan, Korea, USA, Canada, Brazil, Australia and New Zealand.

At first glance, “Fifty Sisters” appears to be a collection of visually captivating images, each portraying intricate, plant-like forms. However, delving deeper into McCormack’s creation unveils a multifaceted exploration of themes ranging from ecological consciousness to the transformative power of technology.
The concept underpinning “Fifty Sisters” is as profound as it is provocative. McCormack draws inspiration from the historical dominance of the Seven Sisters oil cartel, using their logos as the raw material to grow his digital garden.
