Back in my radio days, Duane Ward was a regular guest on the late night show. He was always very courteous and generous with his time. A gentleman and awesome dude. He helped a ton with baseball clinics after his playing days were done.

I always felt like it wasn’t recognized just how crucial a figure he was for that 93 team. Henke left and Ward was absolutely nails. They probably don’t repeat without him. That slider would’ve been nasty in any era. Like his playing career, life was cut way too short.

The Leafs deserve all the ridicule. However, it’s worth pointing out that the Kings have 19 regulation wins, 2nd fewest in the NHL. They are a bad team helped by loser points and a joke of a division.
