Today @runwayml is joining the @claudeai marketplace as its first creative partner. Excited to see our partnership with Anthropic continue to grow.
Today, Runway is joining Claude Marketplace.
Enterprise teams already working with @claudeai can now put part of their Anthropic commitment toward Runway Creative, bringing video, image and audio generation into the same budget. Learn more at the link below.
One fun part of getting older is that your friends end up doing cool adult things like owning apartments around the world that you can just visit. This was Porto in August.
Join our Labs team to experiment on the frontier of generative media. If I could clone myself I'd want to work on this team but you can apply to do it in my place. Check out the new website to learn more.
Say hello to labs.runway.com
A frontier research design studio building prototypes, applications and new media projects with generative video and world models.

New on the blog:
— Room for ambition
A late-night conversation at a startup office in Finland has stayed with me for almost twenty years.
Some thoughts on ambition, getting good at something, and the people around you.

holy shit, yes, i love love the look of this.
Using @runwayml Agent to visualize a new photography experiment I want to try. I need to pick up some redscale Lomo film and shoot this on my grandma's old camera.

they're trying to cut open the bird to find the song
I have no doubt that AI will be able to make one-off creative content but as soon as it's mass produced it will need to adapt to find the next interesting thing. I'm curious to see if and how this can be scaled so that it always stays ahead of the curve and of other agents.
Counter argument: Not only is taste subjective, it's a moving target. As soon as [tasteful thing] becomes easily replicable, it stops being tasteful.
Taste is a status game with a strong defensibility mechanism. That's why the term is so fuzzy and ill-defined. Vagueness is the whole point. It's meant to be hard to copy.
So much of what we experience and understand in the world is visual. Why shouldn't agents show us what they are doing visually?
I interview a lot of people and it's been fascinating to see the language of machine learning changing to fit the LLM/transformer paradigm. People use terms like "token" and "context" even in cases where you previously wouldn't. Even linguistically everything is now a token.

hyping myself up for some upcoming travel with @runwayml agent on iOS. Channeling that Erwitt energy.
Harman Red and Lomo Redscale in medium format were harder to find than I expected but on my last full day in NYC I got the goods. Let’s see where this leads.
