Lee Jae Myung is undermining the military in many ways. It is not clear he would oppose an invasion of South Korea. It is clear, however, that some of his senior advisors would not.
An Army lieutenant colonel who served during the December 3 martial law accused the Lee Jae-myung administration of a “reckless purge” of soldiers who followed orders.
The Defense Ministry has granted special one-rank promotions to seven soldiers who refused martial law orders and identified some 180 personnel involved for discipline and investigation.
He says these promotions have dragged military discipline and morale into the gutter, calling it “a criminal regime.”

有33名高官被開除黨籍，連和習近平最親近的張又俠、鍾紹軍都赫然在列。
張又俠與習近平有深厚的家族淵源，兩人從年少時代就有交情。在習近平鞏固權力的過程中，張又俠是最重要的軍中盟友之一，可謂「肝膽相照」。

中共已經正式進入大清洗時代。從軍隊、外交到金融、工業，整肅遍及各個領域。最可怕的是，沒有人知道下一個會輪到誰。
官員每天最重要的工作，不再是發展經濟、解決失業等問題，而是研究領導人的臉色，猜測「誰即將倒楣」。
然而，這場大清洗也暴露出一個巨大的矛盾。
習近平掌權14年，集黨政軍大權於一身，幾乎沒有人能夠挑戰他的地位。照理說，他應該是全中國最有安全感的人。
可是，為什麼連自己最親近的人都不能相信？
我的判斷是：今天中國最沒有安全感的人，恐怕正是習近平本人。權力越集中，越害怕失去；越害怕失去，就越不相信別人。
已經變成孤家寡人的習近平，現在滿腦子想的，恐怕只剩下一句話：
「總有刁民想害朕！」

South Korea’s election was fundamentally flawed.
These are cast ballots. Their rigging method is to inflate the voter turnout numbers hour by hour in advance, and then stuff these ballots in. That's why so-called 'brick ballots' are being discovered in bulk.
The poll watchers who attended the recount a few days ago reported seeing a large number of these brick ballots during the on-site inspection. However, the special counsel returned these physical ballots right back to the National Election Commission (the suspect in this case) and observers monitoring the recount were strictly prohibited from taking any videos or photos.

When we share intelligence with South Korea, we have to assume that it is pipelined to China and North Korea.
South Korea's spy chief has confirmed it: one remark by Unification Minister Chung Dong-young led the U.S. to restrict intelligence sharing on North Korea.
In March, Minister Chung told lawmakers North Korea enriches uranium at Yongbyon, Kangson and Kusong. Seoul had only ever confirmed the first two. By early April, Washington began limiting what it shared.
On Thursday, NIS Director Lee Jong-seok told the Intelligence Committee the Kusong remark triggered the curbs. He called them limited and said Korea's own reconnaissance assets can fill the gap. Minister Chung says he only repeated what U.S. think tanks had already published.
The curbs have now lasted seven months. In June, Washington asked that Korea's spy agency be kept out of a U.S.-Korea-Japan meeting on North Korean cyber threats.
Allies share secrets only when they trust each other to keep them.
Should a minister whose words cost the alliance seven months of intelligence keep his job?
