Shocked @patkarney has always been there. No one more pro-Manchester than he. Dedicate Manchester Day 2027 to Pat. If there is any such thing as Manchesterism, Pat Karney helped define it.
Devastated to hear of @patkarney passing away. He’s been part of Manchester throughout my career. Instrumental in us starting Dpercussion, hugely supportive of Parklife and more recently Depot Mayfield. Always enjoyed having a cup of tea with him in the Town Hall. RIP Pat x

On behalf of their client, Zara Sultana, Bindmans Media and Information Law Practise Group requires that I publish the following statement on X, and that such statement must be clearly visible and pinned to my
profile for a continuous period of no less than 24 hours:
“On 30 March 2026, I published a post on my X account addressed to Zarah Sultana in which I stated that she encourages and incites violence and is friends with terrorists.
Those statements are false. I was wrong and offer my sincere apologies to Ms Sultana for the harm and distress caused to her.”
It is my very great pleasure to do this, and I reiterate my sincere and repeated offer to meet with Miss Zara Sultana in person to resolve our differences.

Today, thousands of Londoners from all backgrounds gathered in Trafalgar Square to watch the Passion of Jesus, performed by @WintershallPlay.
My best wishes to all Christians observing Good Friday - a time to reflect on Jesus Christ’s message of courage, compassion and empathy.

A growing body of research shows that 20mph is making our roads safer, reducing the number of people killed & seriously injured, while have little impact on journey times & no increase in pollution etc.
But still the naysayers will kick off … see predicable comments below!

Hard to believe that next year we’ll be standing in that very same place - only this time, on stage, supporting @thecure

10 years this month since the awful images of Alan Kurdi dead on a Turkish beach went viral and - briefly - looked like they would prompt real change. But a decade later, the West is more hostile to refugees than ever before.

Could not be prouder. Matilda nailed her A levels and is off to Leeds to read Politics and Philosophy. She may have to teach me how to take a selfie as well. #prouddadtweet

Ecstasy pills are back to pre-Covid strengths with an average of TWO doses in ONE pill.
Over 95% of pills do contain MDMA & very few are adulterated.
Most people become unwell from taking too much.
Please don’t be one of them.

What do we know from The Loop’s 2025 testing?
* 1 pill is not 1 dose: average pill strength = 192mg MDMA (nearly 2 adult doses)
* Pills are high & variable strength: containing 1-3 doses or more
* Adulteration is low
* None were nitazenes

amazing apology from the Torygraph about their made up story 🫠 I thought it was an amusing tale so that’s a shame

We don’t know what the pills were bought as, implicated in 2 deaths & 1 hospitalisation last weekend, but we do know they came home from clubbing & we do know they took nitazene pills very similar to ones tested by The Loop 2 months ago.
Test & take care, whatever pills you take.
📣♾️📣
2 deaths last weekend in London were from pills confirmed as #nitazenes & similar to pills tested by The Loop.
They looked like oxys BUT it is not known what they were bought as.
Take care whatever pills you take.
Carry #naloxone, check in on friends & test if you can.
