I just realised we're getting the Beijing Jurassic ride, right? Not River Adventure? 99% of guests will have never ridden that. BttF will be all new. 90% won't have done LCA if that's the Jaws show. Yeah there's enough new for me to live with another Forbidden Journey.

Bob Chapek could never read the room but now wants us to read his book. Iger has his flaws but Chapek was a disaster on every conceivable level. I can't think of anyone less suited to run a company like Disney.

So it looks like in 2028 I'm going to Antarctica! The real one, not SeaWorld.

Apple just said the new Watch is something you wear the whole time, should be worn during sleep, and has up to 24 hours of battery life. Erm... So when do I charge it?

Sony stopped making physical games while Nintendo is out there making textured foil collectible covers.

The new Harry Potter looks more AliExpress than Hogwarts Express. Struggling to see the point creatively.

'De La Terre A La Luna' walked so that Stardust Racers could run, and now I've a strong suspicion Stardust Racers running is what has helped 'De La Terre A La Luna' to return. The circle of life.

I see Bob Iger is doing the Bob Chapek thing of growing an 'evil double' style beard.

As the whirlwind of D23 starts to settle and life returns to normal I don't think I've ever been quite so optimistic about the state of Disney parks as I am now. The event really revitalised the brand for me and made me excited for the future.

My D23 highlights: - meeting fellow fans and friends old and new - Princess concert at DCA - Rewind concert especially Jodi as Ursula - Horizons show giving everything I've asked for - chatting with Imagineers at the best organised booth yet - seeing Olaf and BD droids

Easily the least attended section of the Imagineering booth was the Abu Dhabi Disneyland section. They had a video running but I dont think I saw a single person all weekend showing any interest in it.

7.30pm on a Sunday and still the convention center is jam packed, all the booths still have lines. They could run this thing until 11pm next time and rake in even more money. #d23 #d23tufe

Struck out on standby for Alan Menken, ah well. Missed quite a few can't miss panels this weekend, but lots of other fun moments to make up for it.

The third, Cruella themed, ride for Villains Land is Schrodingers Attraction. Simultaneously announced and not announced. 24 hours later are we any clearer whether it is a thing or not?

The genius of the new Disney is that the most fan pleasing announcements, Paris SM, Yeti, Dreamfinder, are probably relatively the cheapest too. They are easy wins to get the fans on board with the new era.

This D23 has been so positive for the company. If D'Amaro wanted to start his tenure off by saying to the fans 'we get it and love this stuff as much as you' he succeeded.
