BATS: the cause of, and solution to - all of Britain’s problems…
A planned asylum camp near the village of Piddington will be illegal if it goes ahead without licences to protect rare bats and wildlife, police have warned the Home Office 🔗: telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/10…

The rapacious state reaches ever further. Let's tax books - with £5 to the government per read? Let's tax footballs - and use CCTV to see how often they're kicked? What about chewing-gum? Will HMRC be knocking to check I didn't cheat the public purse for chewing for too long?
Kicking down the doors of law‑abiding motorists to check their mileage is an outrageous abuse of power. This pay‑per‑mile scheme turns every driver into a suspect and hands police Big Brother powers they neither want nor have time for. It’s yet another heavy‑handed attack on motorists from a government obsessed with control and grabbing even more cash from the highest taxed drivers in the world, instead of fairness

I think this is a serious mistake by Bryant. I have no particular affinity for the Orange Order. And I appreciate the history and sensitivities of the Drumcree dispute. But the Orangemen made the application in the correct way and secured a lawful determination to hold a much-scaled-back parade. Opponents, including the first minister, then blocked the road (and thereby the parade) unlawfully. And Bryant has given in to them. How is Bryant now going to convince unionists that the rule of law and constitutional politics still point the way forward for Northern Ireland? This has opened a huge can of worms.

I would quite happily live in a society where the minimum sentence for this was measured in decades.... These kind of people are violent to their spouses, children, and others. They leave a legacy of woe in their wake which makes our society poorer.
Road rage driver Joseph Hedley was in court this week pleading guilty to assault. Cyclist Iain Brown was left with a serious brain injury, including a fractured skull & bleeding on the brain. Hedley will be sentenced next month. thecourier.co.uk/fp/news/cou…

"The sun was in my eyes so I drove into a cyclist" Oh, that was careless... Suspended sentence, £500 fine. £500 for a life. The life of a man who had been given the all-clear from cancer that morning.

At the Inter-Parliamentary Union Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians, our Canadian delegation hosted a session on Combatting Sexual Violence During War and Communal Conflict. The best speech of the day was given by British Conservative MP @aliciakearns. (Many of the countries she called out were present in the room). Give it a watch! And you can watch the full session here: youtu.be/lih_vphi3yo

I listened to a Labour MP and trade union member saying how he was proud he was that Wales had resisted the education reforms England had seen.

Vucic’s regime is shameless. This is like Himmler getting a state funeral from West Germany in 1976.
Any Western government that sees these scenes - the Vucic regime burying a convicted genocidaire with full military honors, the entire Serbian Orthodox Church ‘blessing’ the process, thousands of ordinary Serbian citizens standing for hours to grovel at his coffin - and continues with business as usual with Belgrade (the arms sales, the fiction of EU enlargement, ‘pulling Serbia out of China’s orbit’) is knowingly undermining the security of Europe and the Atlantic community. Because this carnival of horrors is not just about glorifying the extermination of Bosniaks in the 1990s. It is the Vucic regime socializing the Serbian public for their next war(s).

For 20 yrs, the official Serbian Gov position has been that it bears no responsibility for the genocide in Bosnia. They say it was done by local Serbs there w/o involvement of Gov of Serbia. Today they honor the man convicted of that genocid with full military and state honors.
The Serbian state received the remains of war criminal Ratko Mladic with full state and military honors. Serbia is an EU candidate country that has received billions of euros in EU taxpayer funding.

Well said. Mercy to the guilty is cruelty to the innocent.
This bloke is absolutely spot on. Every little detail he said is true. One the most accurate rants I’ve heard in a long, long time

This is phrased appallingly…. can imagine someone pointing to this leaflet - “see, it says you must say yes!!” What clown at the @ukhomeoffice signed this off?

To laugh in court having killed a police officer on duty, hours before he was due to go on Honeymoon… what better demonstration can there be of the futility of rehabilitation? On what conscionable basis should my loved ones be compelled to share a country with them?
PC Andrew Harper was dragged to his death at 42mph. His uniform was torn off and his injuries were so bad that first responders thought he was a deer carcass. The men who killed him showed zero remorse they even laughed in court. They got just 13 years each for manslaughter. Now, under Labour’s new early release scheme, two of them could walk free after only 6.5 years. This is a total insult to PC Harper, his family, and every police officer. Killing a cop and showing no regret should mean real time behind bars — not a slap on the wrist because prisons are full. How can any government release such evil monsters back onto this country’s streets especially after they have shown no remorse or empathy of their atrocious crimes. Any government that is prepared to release such evil into society is itself an enemy of the people.

Amazed Wes Streeting finds this kind of stuff funny; I have no doubt PC Harper’s killers will offend again. Labour Party just laughing in the face of the law-abiding public.

Thankfully I can summarise what they say... "We are total morons, and think Britain should suck up to China, let's kill this thing whatever way we can, and stonewall any serious attempt to get answers"... plain and simple
💥 Breaking: The Foreign Office has refused to hand over the minutes of a key Whitehall meeting to Parliament's Intelligence and Security Committee (ISC), fuelling fresh scrutiny over the collapse of the prosecution of two men accused of spying for China. In a highly critical report, the ISC reveals that it requested the minutes of a meeting held on 28 August 2025 as it sought to understand the events leading up to the Crown Prosecution Service's decision to abandon the case against Christopher Cash and Christopher Berry. The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) declined to provide them. The Committee says it was "disappointed" that the department was unwilling to assist its inquiry, noting that the meeting took place just days before the Director of Public Prosecutions decided to discontinue the prosecution. It says the refusal underlines the need to strengthen the ISC's powers to obtain evidence from departments outside its existing oversight arrangements. The missing minutes will raise eyebrows follows my reporting in The Sunday Times last year that Sir Olly Robbins, the Foreign Office's former Permanent Under-Secretary, raised concerns during discussions chaired by National Security Adviser Jonathan Powell about the diplomatic and economic consequences of securing convictions in this case. Ministers have consistently denied any improper political involvement in prosecutorial decisions.

BREAKING: British Steel now belongs to the British people.

I hereby announce that I have not seen this. Unless the Gov faxes a notarised copy to my home three times a year for the next decade - I can just feign ignorance, right?
🚨 NEW: The Government is now set to raise the state pension age to 68 in 2037 - seven years earlier than originally planned
