Very sad to hear of Deb’s passing. Always enjoyed working with her. She was instrumental in supporting @OutThereMonthly in the early years.
Spokane coffee roaster Deborah Di Bernardo dreamed of a sustainable industry. “I may not change the world … but I can try!” Di Bernardo once wrote.
And try she did, one f-bomb at a time. Di Bernardo died Sunday. She was 70. // story by @ClouseThomas

Very saddened to hear this but still being inspired by this man. He did great work on marriage equality—among, many, many other things. You will be missed. #HappyWatkins

It’s difficult to think of another Washingtonian who ever had such a positive impact in so many realms as Dan Evans.
We all, no matter our party, can feel fortunate for the progress he led during each of his three terms as governor.

John Sayles wrote a book about the making of Matewan. He wanted James Earl Jones but couldn't possibly afford him. In the end he wrote him an apologetic letter, offering him union scale, uncomfortable housing and a tough schedule. Jones got right back to him with a Yes.

A reminder that the US has the most dangerous roads in the developed world because we have normalized driver lawlessness. Our news agencies are more concerned about the convenience and property of drivers than the mobility, health or safety of people on foot, bike or transit.

Very sad news. I grew up with and always loved The Rocket. Cross interviewed me for Heavier than Heaven and it give me an even deeper appreciation for his music journalism. #charlescross
This is just shockingly sad news. Charles Cross was brilliant, passionate, and understood the music of our times more than an Olympic swimmer knows water. Such a loss. seattletimes.com/entertainme…
