So proud to be involved with this important project. A fine example of genuine and meaningful public & patient engagement.
What a way to start #OrganDonationWeek the unveiling of @MFTnhs Organ Donor Artwork. 'The Call' is a unique 5m long ceramic mural /poem created by donor families and renound artists, led by @Limearthealth @MFT_Charity @MFT_PatientExp @NHSBT @NHSEngland @MCubbonNHS

Dr Naeem Meghjee joined the @NIHR Associate Principal Investigator (API) scheme as he wanted to have an active role in a clinical trial and insight into being a PI. As an API he led and delivered the @MFTnhs sponsored feasibility study SWIPE 2 👏. 🔗research.cmft.nhs.uk/news-ev…

20/ I dont want to get sidetracked into the defects in TRS, Ive talked about them publicly & privately before, see here for more info 🧵 If you can read TRS & make an #informedchoice to reverse CHOICE2, you know a lot more about NHS pensions than me! xitter.cf/goldstone_tony/status/…
1/ 🧵 on "Total Reward Statements" (or Annual Benefit Statements) Dear @nhs_pensions As you know Ive been asking publically & privately if you could PLEASE make the TRS slightly less useless? Here's why you need to change it, & quickly (please RT if you agree)

Alright. It's post Christmas, time to weigh up the current landscape and start voting regarding the consultant pay offer, is it enough? a good enough start, are you confident enough has been done to fix the fairness of the DDRB? Info here bma.org.uk/our-campaigns/con… turnout is vital!

Just a reminder that this man - at the start of his disastrous reign of error as education secretary scrapped the schools building programme within weeks of taking up office (with cummings at his side). Concrete achievements

As a TPD I am not allowed to comment on the strike other than to wish that everyone gets together soon and settles it amicably blah blah blah. But they never said we can't post pictures wordlessly. So here are two pics.

The PM really does need to understand that he is now further damaging U.K. science by not immediately rejoining Horizon, presumably to placate some know-nothing fringe bloviators who know nothing about science, its value or how it’s conducted. As Lord Rees says below, it is baffling. Get on with it.

An absolute disgrace from @Telegraph 👇which shows their shambolic understanding of basic numeracy (just read their public sector pensions coverage for more examples)
Today it has been reported that during our first round of action in England mortality rate was 11.1% above the 5 year average. What they haven’t reported was that in Wales, where no strike action took place, mortality rate was 14% above the 5 year average. 1/3

Doctors are furious. A record breaking turn out of 77.49% and a 98% yes mandate smashing the anti-trade union legislation that demands POSTAL votes for a significant size of the workforce who rotates on an at least an annual basis is undeniable.

THOUGHT FOR DAY: In 2021 LTA@£1.073m = public sector pension of £46,657 before breaching With inflation 10.1% '22, 7.9% '23 LTA should be £1.423m buying same pension of 46.7k Instead LTA will by 27/28 be real terms £818k = pension just £35.6k! RT if you agree➡️NHS collapse 📉
