This week I was stretched thin - and yet in the midst of a cray cray week, there were deeply human moments that tell me that what I am doing makes a difference. Teachers - what you do matters! reacheverystudent.com/p/stre… #teachers #ReachEveryStudent

Big step for #MasteryFlip: our first fully Spanish-language self-paced course, "Mastery Flip: una introducción al aprendizaje para el dominio," just launched with Plataforma Guacurarí — free for teachers across Latin America. Grateful for this partnership and excited to see where it goes. 👉 guacurari.com/autoasistidos/…

Starting the school year with student selfie videos is a great way to connect. Asking students to talk about themselves, their hobbies, and interests for 2-3 minutes builds rapport from day one. #EdTech #StudentEngagement

MIT just told its own faculty to rethink how they teach and assess in the age of AI. One line stopped me: the only thing left that proves real learning is watching someone reason through a problem live — something AI can't fake. I've been doing that for 2 years. I call it the Mastery Viva. They have sabbaticals. I have August.reacheverystudent.com/p/they…

If you send home cognitively complex homework right now, you're crazy. A new study tracked 26,811 students for 30 months. AI use raised homework scores — and gutted exam scores. But only for 80% of users. The other 19%, who didn't let AI shortcut their effort, barely lost anything. The difference wasn't the tool. It was the design. open.substack.com/pub/jonber…

Have you guys seen this report from July 2026? 26,000 students in China - Students did better on homework when using AI. Their homework took them less time....and...their exam scores plummeted. When students use AI to "help" them, they are actually hurting themselves. We must rethink homework and design our classrooms such that we preserve the productive struggle of learning. 📷
