Well, yeah, but you can't think about G2/G3 when a G1 win is right in front of you and Duran is the best option there. If Sánchez isn't good in G2 you've got problems regardless of the G1 outcome

I think that teams can get overly aggressive with bullpen usage in the playoffs for the sake of not trusting other arms — I think the White Sox keeping Taylor in against 6-7-8 up by three runs yesterday was one of those — but using Duran against the heart of the lineup isn't that

Turns out guys who’ve followed the teams all year buttressed by recent retirees who love the current game are better than guys who played 20 years ago making trite, banal comments in part b/c they don’t know who’ll be playing in the game until two days before. Who’d’ve thought?

I've been covering baseball since 2013. I never, ever remember another day before today where my entire timeline is filled with people uniformly praising the playoff television broadcasts. NBC has apparently cracked the code.
