I’m pleased to share that the City has received $26M by selling our British Columbia Low Carbon Fuel Standard (BC LCFS) credits. These funds will allow us to establish a new Climate Action Reserve Fund to support Climate Action initiatives. #newwest buff.ly/3J8UTbY
We celebrated the City’s Animal Services Officer Margie Fox yesterday as she was named Officer of the Year by the Licence Inspectors' and Bylaw Officers' Association of British Columbia (LIBOA).

I’m stepping back from social media these days, but good news is worth sharing and the team @New_Westminster deserves recognition for the "Excellence in Planning Policy Gold Award" for the City’s 7 Bold Steps for Climate Action that was presented at @CIP_ICU Conference last week.
One of the biggest projects discussed in my 50 Ideas Campaign is the Təməsew̓txʷ Aquatic and Community Center. I am so pleased to see construction has started with anticipated completion in 2023. This community hub will be an incredible resource the City.

During the last municipal election in 2018, I put forward a 50 IDEAS campaign. The ideas focused on issues facing the community such as housing, transportation, public amenities and the local economy. The last four years have seen some unexpected challenges 1/2

I’m so pleased to see the community of @New_Westminster step up once again in support of the Mayor’s @VanFoodBank Challenge. We are a small community, but one that comes together to support those in need and have raised a total of $75,632.00. That’s $0.96 per capita! 1/2
In the competition that puts us in second place to @LindaCBuchanan and the @CityOfNorthVan but only by a touch 🙂The campaign overall raised $313,728.00
