The USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) carrier strike group and the USS Makin Island (LHD-8) amphibious ready group, with the embarked 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), are headed to the Middle East, two U.S. officials told Fox News. The ships are expected to arrive by the end of November, adding about 10,000 sailors and Marines to the region. Fox reports about 6,000 are in the carrier strike group and about 4,200 in the MEU and Makin Island group, a typical size for such a force.
The Roosevelt would be the third aircraft carrier in the Middle East, joining the USS George H.W. Bush (CVN-77) and USS George Washington (CVN-73). Makin Island would be the second amphibious assault ship with an embarked MEU in the region, alongside USS Boxer (LHD-4) and the 11th MEU. The deployment comes as President Trump has said renewed military action against Iran remains possible after the November 3 midterm elections.

As a millennial who grew up in the post-Columbine world, with children of my own now, I cannot tell you how disappointed I am in America, a country that decided that dead kids at school were an acceptable thing to live with. Once that happened, there was no hope for us.
It's beautiful, but the people who live there don't believe the government should exist at all or have authority over them.

Apple is a LITTLE out of touch with the state of Siri.
Siri is just plain terrible.
My wife refuses to use it.
I keep trying it as a "lunatic fringe" AI fantatic and it keeps letting me down.
Simple things like setting a timer, checking in on that timer, are just plain broken.
You've got to test the software.
Siri is still terrible, even with Siri AI, it has a new set of problems that make it just plain dumb, slow, and frustrating to use.
