Returned a rental car with a corporate discount applied a day early and now @Avis mexico is trying to charge standard rates and steal $800. This company is so fucked up.

Ordered a dresser on @Wayfair a month ago. My order has been backordered for a month but they're still selling it on their website for twice the price I paid. Apparently if you buy during their sales they just won't ship your item. Can't recommend avoiding this company enough.

On my watch, we’ve responsibly increased our oil production to meet our immediate needs – without delaying or deferring our transition to clean energy. We’re America. We can do both.

.@united took so long to unload baggage on a late TPE->SFO flight that 100+ people missed their connection. They have two (2) agents handling the rebooking. Complete joke of an airline.

So many leaders think requiring more training / education makes services safer. But never consider that if the requirement restricts supply and makes it unavailable, people may be more unsafe WITHOUT access to the service.

True words of a true leader @POTUS. Calling things by their names is essential to stand up to evil. We are grateful for US assistance provided so far and we urgently need more heavy weapons to prevent further Russian atrocities.

Joe is obviously trolling here but frankly it is nice to have a president that doesn’t intentionally try to screw over states run by the opposing party.
It’s a real vindication of Biden’s commitment to bipartisanship that the checks and child tax credit go to both Democratic and Republican households.

1. Extreme winter weather is causing rolling blackouts in Texas which may continue through Monday and potentially Tuesday. @ERCOT_ISO declared an EEA 3. This is a very dangerous grid event, so please don’t rush to judgment about causes. It is complex xitter.cf/ERCOT_ISO/status/13612…
ERCOT calls for rotating outages as extreme winter weather forces generating units offline. “Every grid operator and every electric company is fighting to restore power right now,” said ERCOT President and CEO Bill Magness. ercot.com/news/releases/show…

It’s a myth of white supremacy to believe that there’s a scarcity in attention, care, and love for our Asian community. Like if this group is getting attention for their issues over there, there’s somehow not enough attention for our issues over here. It’s bullshit.

Employment for high-wage workers, those earning above $85,000 a year, fully recovered by December and even rose above pre-pandemic levels. But employment of low-wage workers, or those earning less than $30,000 a year, was still 14% below pre-crisis levels - and falling.
"Black workers, women and others in low-paying jobs were more likely to become unemployed during the pandemic ... according to research released by the @NewYorkFed." - @Reuters reut.rs/3d4ww0W

Today we honor Fred Korematsu, who challenged the constitutionality of Japanese-American internment during WW2. “The court ruled in favor of the government and against Korematsu in what is now widely considered one of its worst decisions.” npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/…
