Yesterday Scania opened a new test track in Södertälje. 120 football fields and close to 1 billion SEK. I was there. You stand at one end and you cannot see where the oval ends.
One example. Wet braking tracks in asphalt, concrete and basalt, different grip on left and right side, and a curve in the basalt. No model knows how a loaded truck stops there until somebody did it for real.
What would you never trust from simulation only?

No rich country in the world uses less than 1,000 kWh of electricity per person. This chart from a16z went around last week. So I did count on what one kWh actually gives back.
How I counted: hydrogen 55 kWh/kg at 5 to 8 euro/kg. Aluminium 13 to 15 MWh/t at 3,000 dollar. Truck 1.3 kWh/km, freight 1.3 to 1.9 euro/km. AI: 135 billion run rate (OpenAI + Anthropic) over 100 to 200 TWh (estimate). US: 30 trillion GDP on 4,195 TWh.
Where should the next TWh go, according to you?

Last week President Trump had lunch at the White House with the top people from Nvidia, Google, Meta, OpenAI, Anthropic and xAI. They signed a safety accord. The whole paper is 308 words.
I worked at one of the Big Four years ago, so I know how fast they jump on a new risk. They did the same with IT security and cyber, so this one they will not miss.
They check the process. Testing the model is another job.
Who do you think should be the external auditor?
