Remembering James "Son Ford" Thomas, born on this day in 1926 in Eden, Mississippi. Here he is performing in a small country store in 1975. This clip was filmed by Bill Ferris and is included in our Grammy-winning set, “Voices of Mississippi,” which is available via our website.

A lovely memory of possibly the worst cruise I've ever been on. This was sailing down the 3 Gorges in Si Chuan, S. China around 2010? The 'cabin' was like a holding cell and the toilets stopped working each time we came to a stop. The boat stopped a lot.
